Goodbye! Oh dear! How can I tell you about our favourite local pub? This morning 28 July 2024 a friend knowing our love of the George Inn said the local newspaper had announced the pub was closing today. Our last visit was on the 21st June for a wonderful lunch. In all the occasions we have visited we have never had a bad experience and always been complimentary over the cuisine as their chef Dave knew his skills in his menus would please patrons. With plans in for a change of use it is not likely this wonderful hostelry will ever revert to being a pub. The local community is much concerned re this closure so we are not the only people who will miss venturing onto the Brendon Hills to celebrate family occasions. Tears are welling!!
