I had the pleasure of dining at The Crown Pub in Lower Peover recently, and I can confidently say it’s an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest and most welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and just the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The real star of the show, though, was the food. Every dish we have had is nothing short of exceptional, but the Thai Green Curry was an absolute standout! The flavour was out of this world—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, rich coconut milk, and fresh herbs. It was easily one of the best curries I’ve ever had! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by The Crown. The food, service, and overall experience are top-notch. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

First of all a big party of 10 of us. We pre booked and confirmed the confirmation. We walked in the door and then was waiting for 10 minutes to be seated. Staff kept walking past us and looking at us. Then we went to the bar after waiting for 10 minutes to tell them that we had a table booked for 10 of us. The women behind the bar proceeded to huff and walk off… The restaurant was pretty empty we had multiple children with us and elderly people. After she walked off we found our own seats as we couldn’t wait any longer with the children getting annoyed & elderly family members not being able to stand for a long time. 85% of our table ordered a carvery & we had 1 kids meal out of the kitchen & 2 adult meals. That took 45 minutes to come out with no awareness of there being that much of a wait on food. We go to get our carvery was queing for 15/20 mins before getting served then our meals from the kitchen had to be eaten or would have gone cold. Baring in mind no one told us that the food in the kitchen was nearly done we could go and que for the carvery…. The Yorkshire puddings were like pancakes everything was cold. I then asked the chef behind the carvery for new mash as the one that was on there had gone all hard on the top as it had been sitting there for a long time. He took it back in the kitchen and one of my family members seen him through the kitchen window putting WATER IN THE MASH! The chef then come back and says that the HEAD CHEF said that’s all that they have and that is how the mash is ment to be… hard and lumpy…. We then thought we would get some puddings as we was celebrating a birthday. Puddings came out no spoons to eat with & 2 puddings were forgotten about and brought out 10 minutes later. We asked the server for spoons twice and still didn’t get any so a family member had to get them for us. This pub has gone down hill again after being taken over. We will not be returning and please train your staff & chefs on how to do there jobs and to crack a smile
