The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Lockwood Redcar and Cleveland North East

My husband found this place and knew I would like it. He was right. The people were really welcoming and the atmosphere very friendly. Everything we had was lovely and I especially enjoyed their scone of the day which was date and plum - it was delicious and I was lucky that they had one I could buy to take home with me. Definitely recommend going here.

We had heard nothing but bad reports about the tavern from friend and family that have been but thought we would check it out for our selves . All I can say is disgusting .everything we asked for off the menu we had to pick something else because they had ran out so two of us had fish and chips for main . As they own the fish and chip shop over the road which is very good I thought it would be a good choice. How wrong could you be the fish was so well done the batter was rock hard and the fish inside had shrivelled up to nothing . And the chips were burned . The other two in my party got the mixed grill that wasn’t much better. Over cooked and everything on the plate tasted of liver . Won’t be going again . Could be really nice because a lot has been spent on the place but they need a decent chef . Or employ a chef instead of bar staff doing the cooking .
