Very quiet at times just missed out on food in the morning and there is a bit of a gap before they serve food again which was disappointing. Coffee was beautiful if I must say so. You get three hours free parking if you dine in to even if it's just a coffee just scan the QR at the bar.

Having previously had enjoyable visits on 12th-15th April and 27th-29th December 2023 I tried booking for January in several weeks time 2025. Payment was taken by booking.com and PayPal but failed to receive any confirmation emails from booking despite payment leaving my PayPal account I then spoke to the manager to see if the confirmation of booking had gone through on their system and provided screen shots of transactions etc The manager accused me of a "lame attempt" to pull the wool over his eyes and claimed I've never stayed their before despite proving evidence I infact have not once but twice... After calls to booking.com and PayPal I have received a refund as there was a technical glitch meaning money has been taken but not confirmation sent to Sutton Staithe or myself. The unprofessional demeanour of the manager has meant I've taken my custom elsewhere.

Excellent pub. Love the wooden tables, the finishing is superb. Also, extra marks for the font, and font size. Will recommend.

The staff are like the crew of the Titanic, trying to stay calm while all about them sinks into the murky depths of a saturated Sutton. They are almost always very helpful and seem very much like professional musicians asked to play a concert using Bontempi children's organs and penny whistles. I salute you all - and the cheery Security guards who are there Monday - Friday. Take your wellies, or better yet a lifeboat, if you visit when it rains. A landmark of Sutton - or perhaps a relic?
