Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion, 20-30£
08/12/2018: Amazing food, friendly service and a beautiful place to be. My favourite restaurant in Aber for lunch or dinner. ❤️
19/11/2018: Was recommended this place by a local, not sure it was obvious from the street that it was an evening meal venue. Really good veggie options, and lovely cocktails. Wish we'd had time to come back for afternoon tea, as there were some tempting cakes on display.

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
02/12/2018: Hadn’t been to this restaurant for probably about 18 years, however absolutely nothing has changed. Not the decor, not the menu and possibly not even the prices.
02/12/2018: Well what can I say, another amazing meal with Jo and his team, he fitted us in and we feasted on great starters and such flavoursome mains mussles and prawn stater and a fish and lamb tagine, beautiful food thank you X

Med Delight

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion, <20£
19/08/2018: We ate as a 3 generation family during a camping holiday in the local area, the plan was to finish the stay off with a meal out as a treat and we were not disappointed. We all had something different off the menu and everything was deliciously authentic. My seafood provencal was out of this world and I'm not great with seafood but when at the coast be rude not too and when cooked to perfection you should not say no. There is no specific kids menu but they offered to do a smaller plate for the price of a starter and then still served a large portion. It is bring you own drinks but the house wine is fine if you are not too fussy. Delighted with the meal and will definitely go back if in the area again.
16/08/2018: A small but nicely appointed restaurant with a mix of Algerian and other Mediterranean dishes. The chef is Algerian so his recipes are particularly tasty and appetising. The lovely Polish waitress added the polish to a delightful dinner. Please note that at present the alcohol licence is being renewed so for now it is BYO!

Cygnet Restaurant at The Swan Hotel

Hay, Powys, 30-45£
16/10/2018: Stayed here 3 nights. Food very good and great choice and excellent service. Staff were very patient with our rather noisy group.
25/08/2018: I went there today for a late lunch / snack and ordered the leek and potato soup with bread. It arrived on the table in a gorgeous bowl, but inside the bowl was the thickest bright green liquid - more like children's Play-doh. It was luke warm with no taste of leek or potato but the gooey consistency of thick cream. I guess it was blended watercress mixed with cream and slightly heated in a microwave.
