The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Marylebone High Street City of London, Westminster London

Quite extraordinary-a reasonably priced restaurant in Marylebone. This is exactly the kind of middle-of-the-road restaurant you would expect to find in Kyoto or Tokyo. Slightly up from Midnight Diner but not much. The set banquets are excellent value, one is plenty for two people. You can have the full banquet or just pop in for a bowl of ramen. It was full on a Thursday night so best to book. We will certainly be back.

The Japanese fast food on the first floor of Selfridges has bar-like seats, as well as revolving sushi and various side dishes to choose from. I went there three times, and each time I liked the mixed rice bowl of green beans, salmon, corn, avocado, and shredded cabbage. The curry chicken rice was also delicious.
