The best restaurants serving Italian food in South Wales

Small authentic Italian restaurant. Good service and atmosphere, you could be in Italy. Starters were excellent, although the portion size was too big. Sea food Linguini was nice, Wild Boar Ravioli looked wonderful, but unfortunately, the sauce was gloppy. The T bone steak was well cooked (medium) with good charring. But a strange selection of vegetables on the side, carrots and cauliflower, chip and roast potatoes. Mediterranean vegetables, peppers, onion, and only chips would have been better. Again, the sauce was gloppy. Tiramisu and Cannoli Siciliani were excellent.

Phoned late in the week and they were so kind fitting us in,it was for a 60th birthday,food was amazing as always,staff make you feel so welcome,only complaint is you can only give 5 stars I would give 100

Another great visit to Franco Manca Cardiff. We came on Friday night with friends and, as always, received a very warm welcome from Izzy, who seated us quickly and made sure we had everything we needed. Ronny looked after us brilliantly - he was attentive and friendly throughout and nothing was too much trouble for him. The food was excellent; I had the Favourite which I highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

We ate here at 6pm on a Friday and the restaurant was heaving, so make sure you book! Vibrant atmosphere, interesting and varied menu, lovely waiting staff and most importantly really good authentic Italian food. We all absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return!

delicious pizza and lots of toppings, fast service

This pizza is fantastic - had the pepperoni and it was really good. The dough was really nice and both light and crisp. Great for a lunch pizza and worth every penny. Seating not the best but other than that 🙏👏🏼🤟🏼🤌🏼👌🏼✌🏼🫶🏼

It was our first visit to this recently reopened restaurant in Rogerstone. We were given an immediate warm welcome and offered a choice of tables. We were served promptly in a relaxed and attentive manner. The food was succulent and attractively presented. It was good value for money. We will certainly go back.

Precioso lugar de copas en la ciudad, tiene grandes asientos para el exterior en el sol y asientos encantadores en el interior. Mi favorito es el asiento de la ventana para que la gente vea. El personal es muy amable y la elección de bebidas es buena.

This is my last day i go to Calabrisella Canton. I went there many times . The food is not the Top but good . In the begin around 2 years a go the price was ok , not cheap but fine and is very rear i complain about it , but after months by months did increase a lot. Too much expensive now and trust me i can pay but is not about the money but the value of food is not this price. I understand cost of living but come on people: you are in Canton, not in the center of London. I found good food in Cardiff centre for half price. You do your business , you decide the price you want but on the same way i choose to don't come back anymore and i swear i don't leave often review, i 'm not fussy person but enough is enough.

Got a Margarita and Ravioli, both tasted amazing and very authentic Italian flavors. The waiters were very kind and approachable.

Absolutely love this place. It is always such a genuine warm welcome and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Lovely menu choices and a great wine list too. The staff could not be more friendly, all in all a lovely way to spend an evening.

Fantastic! Used to come here a lot but not been for years…. Well I’ve wasted my time elsewhere! Great family place , friendly atmosphere and food looked amazing and tasted better. Family run for over 40years but being sold due to retirement, however they won’t close until it’s sold so fill your boots and get the best while you can. Fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻

Awesome night at amici, Eddie and the staff are very friendly and helpful, the best bit tho is the food is outstanding
