First time customers. Booked it as was my wife's birthday and my sons GCSE results day. Starters were generously portioned. Main courses were fantastic, sauces were really tasty and both my sons loved their pizzas (which were both too big to finish so they took half each home). Drinks and meals all reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.

Very friendly Italian restaurant with a great menu. The food was superb. I had a Chicken Risotto which was excellent. A couple in the group had pizzas which also looked very nice. Highly recommend 👌

What a wonderful night out with the family it was my nieces 23 rd birthday and the food and service were second to none the food was spot on they also cater for food intolerances as well as vegetarian options the staff were amazing and we were treated to a fantastic evening meal with wine and cocktails on behalf of the family thank you very much

Oh dear. The wait for our meal was rediculous. Arrived at 7.30 and by 9.00 still waiting. Complained and were told that they had a new Chef and offered a drink. Had to complain again before the meal finally arrived and it was a bit disappointing and not up to the standard we have previously experienced at this restaurant.If you are going to charge top price must also provide good service and you must communicate with the customer if you have a problem. We were given a discount of 10 per cent but all a bit too late

Being a huge fan of Italian food and eaten in many places in Italy I always judge a restaurant on their lasagne, sadly this fell short. A authentic lasagne is fairly dry with lots of layers of pasta, this had 1 layer if that. The meat was very tasty, but with hardly any pasta and way too much cheese it was not great. My husband had a chicken pasta which he enjoyed. The portions are huge and most people had take out boxes, especially if they had more than 1 course. I would visit again but would avoid lasagne, shame as it’s my go to dish in an Italian restaurant.

It is difficult for Wales and Italy to have things in common, unless they come to Amici. Great meal.

Food was great , but felt very rushed out of the restaurant as we was asked to leave to make room for new reservations even tho we had only been there for a hour and 15 mins, and was asked to pay the bill as we was still eating dessert , food was great but felt very rushed out of the restaurant

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Make sure you book in advance as it's only a small restaurant. Service was great, did have to wait about 10 minutes for our table but not really an issue as we booked quite late. Would recommend and will definitely visit again.

Never been here before. Absolutely blown away by the quality of food never mind the portions! Took advantage of the lunchtime special on pasta. Amazing. Service was excellent with a warm welcome. Facilities great. Never expected to find a jewel like this where it's situated. Will definitely be going back.

My wife and I go here quite often and have never been close to being disappointed with either the food or the welcome. We’ve tried pizza, pasta and steak and all have been wonderful! In addition to the great food though I have to mention the staff who are relaxed and informal but really friendly and professional. Would recommend this place to anyone

What a restaurant exceptionally clean neat the menus was extremely varied the food outstanding and the staff very good and efficient a pleasure to dine there nothing seemed to much trouble the served gluten free food and there was plenty of it will definitely re visit A really worthwhile experience

Nice little restaurant, friendly staff, good menu selection. Service a little slow and they didn't have the fish my partner ordered but didn't tell us straight away, only about 10 mins after placing order. We're helpful in finding an alternative.

Recently moved to the area and tried our Amici's. Amazing food and service.

Booked for 6p.m. Shown to table and ordered drinks (medium glass of red wine and a beer) which arrived promptly. Food ordered which arrived around 6.30. Two main courses which were good sized portions. Decide to share Tiramisu. Food finished by around 7.15 and were then informed that table was required in 10-15 minutes if possible. Felt rushed but didn’t complain, finished drinks and left. Unfortunately a full stomach, especially after a creamy desert, doesn't like to be topped up with red wine. Nice food and pleasant surroundings but not a good experience overall.

We booked a table for 7, but wasn't able to be sat for 20 minutes. This was the only downside of the visit. The food was amazing, we ordered too much food and had to have a to go box, to finish the rest the following day. The staff were really friendly and polite. Prices are very good here, not too expensive but a nice feel to an authentic Italian. Would definitely arrange to go back, this is a very busy little restaurant with high demand. So book early not to miss out!!

Had a meal here the other day the way the owner spoke to the staff was embarrassing. Very young staff . I heard him shouting more than once . People should not be treated like this . I will not be going there again . I wish I had defended the young girl . Totally disrespectful behaviour.

As always, we keep returning to our favourite restaurant. Whether it be a takeaway Pizza, sit down Italian or a Sunday lunch it's fabulous. We are even bookies in fir Xmas day.

We've been visiting this restaurant for the past few years, and every single time without exception we leave with huge smiles on our faces, looking forward to our next visit and this time was no different. If you enjoy outstanding Italian food, a great atmosphere, and fantastic staff then you simply cannot go wrong here. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody and am already looking forward to going back! The staff are brilliant and the food is the best around without exception.

My husband and I are here this evening while staying in the area. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our table in what was a pretty full restaurant. Service was very smooth and efficient and I asked for a tweak to a dish which our waitress said would be no problem and it wasn't. We shared two starters and were brought side plates so that we could divide them up. We were so impressed with the food that we ordered a desert to share and had the lightest home-made tiramisu I've ever had. Everything was thoroughly delicious. We were offered water for the table and received a jug of tap water (as opposed to charging for bottled water). The waiting staff checked several times that we had everything we wanted and that it was to our liking. When we asked for something it appeared quickly. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

so booked a table for 13 Food was ok nothing special toilet not the best mould everywhere food was rushed between courses. Then was told they need the table back before we even ordered desert. My family had booked taxis to and from the restaurant so they could have a nice evening with a few drinks this did not happen. Personal I wouldn’t eat there again.

Haven't been for a long time but yet again the food was absolutely amazing! Took my fiancée as a treat being his first time and he loved it. Food fresh and delicious, huge portions so never walk away hungry. Atmosphere still so homely and the wait staff are so friendly. We both cannot wait to go back again soon!

We've been coming here for 3 years every few months sometimes just as a couple and sometimes with larger groups of family and friends. The food is always excellent. It is served fresh and hot and tastes amazing. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive even when its extremely busy. The tables and chairs are always spotless and the manager makes sure the place runs smoothly and creates a good welcoming atmosphere. Consistently a good experience 👍

Have always loved the food here and thought we would try out the Sunday roast - I have to say, it’s by far the best roast dinner I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Roast beef melted in the mouth, good portion sized and simply superb.

Not sure I would come again. Food is nice. And the waitresses were friendly. However the atmosphere isn’t great. The man who I assume is the owner/manager is not welcoming. He seems overwhelmed with groups. And is visibly unhappy. He insists groups preorder food which is fine. But he does not allow you to visit the bar to order drinks and instead insists tables run a tab. 25 of us were not willing to attempt to work out drinks at the end. So were put off at being told we weren’t allowed to visit the bar. His attitude annoyed me. And when I saw him scold a waitress I was even more annoyed. Not for me. I don’t like being made to feel unwelcome or told to remain in my seat

This is easily the best Italian restaurant I have been to in the UK. From the outside, the restaurant does not look like much, but inside is lovely. The food is amazing - I had the whitebait to start, followed by linguini carbonara, and a chocolate brownie. The portion sizes are very generous, particularly the pasta, which was undoubtedly the best carbonara I have ever tasted. Looking forward to visiting again!

A really surprising find. The staff were young and welcomed us in with warmth and professionalism. We chose our food and it arrived in a timely manner. The food was hot and well cooked. It’s somewhere that I look forward to visiting again.

Everything was excellent. The minute we walked in we felt very comfortable, the decor and layout was well designed. I haven't been in these premises for about 25-30 years so the change was considerable. The food was very nice and the staff backed up the quality with a very welcoming service. We were celebrating our anniversary and chose the right place. Definitely go back and would definitely recommend a visit. Thanks for making our day a special memory.

We went on a quiet early evening mid week. The restaurant was clean and well presented. You could tell that the owners had thought carefully about the décor, even down to the fresh flowers at each table. We were seated quickly as we had pre booked a table, and the waitress was attentive and friendly to our needs. We decided against the wine list and went for the tap water instead that was chilled and had fresh lemon, which was a nice touch. The food portions were generous, and the quality of the food was excellent! Everything was presented well and tasted fresh and delicious. This was a lovely spot for a romantic meal and would be a great place to have dinner with friends too. We will definitely return. It was authentically Italian and really enjoyable.

Simply gorgeous place. Food was so full of flavour, potions were good but not over the top, ( I hate waste ). Staff were so friendly and polite, but not pushy. Extremely clean and bright, lovely comfortable dining area. Needless to say we will definitely be going again

A beautiful cosy restaurant with delicious food. The garlic bread was a full 9 inch pizza 🍕 😋 completely surprised us however it was so good, nice thin base, perfect dough crust and boy was it garlic. Also garlic mushrooms for starter. Massive portion sizes so we ended up taken leftovers which were just as good the next day reheated. Definitely worth a visit and one of the only place we could find still open late on a Sunday for dine in. Staff were terrific also.

The only Italian restaurant we go to in the area. Excellent service and always and at a reasonable price. Staff are attentive without being annoying and above all the food is always top notch.
