A great place to eat pizza in Cardiff, with great service and good pizzas. If you don't speak English, it's great because they speak Spanish.

We were with the two of us and had a vegan special and a meat special. There was hardly any filling on the pizzas. No taste, mostly dry sourdough. A disappointment.

The atmosphere was nice. The staff are fantastic. The pizza crust could have been a little bit more crispy. The flavours were good. If the wine is fresh then it's good but sometimes it's yesterday's wine and a little bit oxidized. I would go back.

It’s was disappointing experience, I excited to order from Franco as it’s a famous and delicious Italian restaurant, but it ended up with late delivered ,cold food and tasteless not what I expecting for.

Service from Ronny was incredible and so was the food.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend. Walked in and was greeted by a staff member who said he was the only waiter in and we needed to wait. Once seated he came over and stood over my boyfriend to the point where my boyfriend had to ask do you want us to say our drinks order first? Once food arrived no one even came and asked if everything was okay. He took our order and even that was wrong. The table next to us asked if they could order drinks and he said he was the only waiter in and they needed to wait, they got up and walked out. Overall awful experience with rude and unhelpful staff who make you feel bad for like an inconvenience for even coming in.

Our experience at Franco Manca Cardiff was truly disappointing. After placing our order, we waited over 30 minutes with no sign of our food and no communication from the staff. When I eventually approached the counter to ask about our pizza, I was told - without apology - that the kitchen had missed the ticket. What followed was a masterclass in indifference. I spoke to two members of staff, neither of whom showed the slightest concern or offered any acknowledgment of the delay. When the pizza finally arrived, it was simply dropped at our table without a word. Still no apology. No recognition of the inconvenience. To top it off, there was no cutlery on the table - we had to ask for it, and again, were met with the same disinterested attitude. The food may be decent, but the service is frankly appalling. The lack of care or courtesy from the staff made for a thoroughly unpleasant dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are plenty of places in Cardiff where you’ll be treated with basic respect and hospitality - sadly, this isn’t one of them.

Booked for 25 people without any problem. Considering how many of us there were, the food came out to us quickly and everyone ate together. Couldn't fault the service, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Thanks.

I don't often review but I felt I had to share after dining there tonight. We were a party of 24. Peak time booking on a Friday night. We (the party) all work in hospitality from the kitchen to bar and everything in between. This restaurant delivered in every aspect. I am not a fan of pizza. The other menu choices were simple but so good. I loved the open kitchen POV so you could watch everything being made. I chose the pesto chicken and goats cheese salad with walnuts. It's all my favourite things wrapped up in a salad 20/10. The service was impeccable. Fantastic server (very polite young lady wearing the most fantastic pair of glasses) The food was delicious, it did not disappoint. The wait time for food was short despite how busy the restaurant and staff were. I will definitely be back very soon. 100% recommend.

The perfect pizza chain, great food, prices and wonderful service! I’d like to mention how lovely our waiter Tai was, and a saxophonist I hear ;) also the best gluten free pizza easily

Great for a casual night, tasty thin pizza and dips. Friendly staff Tai was very attentive and polite. Left feeling satisfied but not carb stupor!

First time at Franco Manca's. Was given a table by the window, it was wiped clean for me, but I was left with a soaking wet table. I ended up drying it all off myself with a few napkins. Picky? Maybe....but the restaurant was clearly not busy and it was an obvious issue I was left with. That said the pizza was really really nice.

Looked nice but didn't taste of much. Good service.

We enjoyed a truly excellent pizza here - both the quality and taste were outstanding. The ingredients seemed fresh, the dough was perfectly baked, and overall the food was absolutely convincing. Unfortunately, the service spoiled the positive impression. As soon as our plates were cleared, we were immediately brought the bill without asking, even though our glasses were still filled. Since we wanted to stay seated for a moment, a short time later another employee asked us in a provocative way what else we wanted - even though we had no further request. Shortly afterwards, a third person came with the card reader and expected immediate payment. At this point the restaurant was about two-thirds full, so it was by no means overcrowded. A relaxed visit to a restaurant should look different. It's a shame, because the food would have been a clear reason to come back.

Really lovely food and staff. Both pizzas were fantastic and the garlic dip is well worth it! Super speedy service which was perfect for us. Reasonably priced and would definitely recommend.

Food is good yet service is terrible. Visited with a friend and witnessed multiple staff members going for a smoke break together infront of the establishment- these were quite clearly all servers/hosts. Restaurant was very full and this seemingly left just one waitress that had to serve everyone. We waited over 10 minutes for our plates to be collected and even longer for the bill. Would not recommend.

Had to wait a few weeks for the high of this amazing service to settle, went for a last minute meal and was sat even though we were a little late. But this did not change the amazing energy and all round vibe of our host, Ronny gave amazing service and hospitality joking around with us a few times and making the experience all round fun and freeing. The food was top tier as usual and I will definitely be returning

Been dining at Franco Manca since the early days in Brixton Market and while it's 'grown up' into a big chain, it hasn't changed too much. Cheap but perfect pizza, limited menu options, wine in tumblers, cutlery and oils on the table etc. The tiny toilet cubicles don't feel overly inclusive. When heavily pregnant or just of larger stature they can be hard to use!

Great food, honestly really happy to go there, me and my friends enjoyed our time there as things was going well until at the end by the time we had to leave, one of the staff said somebody have over paid and we were on a rush to get our train, unfortunately the staff there was not prepared and didn't try to help us alittle that made us lost some time,You would think they would have some system in place to keep track of what peopal are ordeing, specially big groups, Yes I know they are busy and have a job to do and I understand that, maybe we should have told them sorry we in the rush and then they probably would have helped, and if so, that is our fault, I hope they will improve on this in the future and try to avoid this happening again thank you and have a lovely day.

Walking down the street, I am in Cardiff. When I walk through the doors of Franco Manca Pizzeria a Southern Italian light washes over me. This place is perfect for students if you need a place to have lunch with friends.

Visited on the last day of the £5 pizza deal and so glad we did! The pizza was great, delicious flavours and the dough was perfect. The tiramisu was also so light and airy and a good size portion. Our server (Kyle from Cheltenham) was really lovely and made the visit even more fun! Thank you and we’ll be back!

WOW WOW WOW WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE SERVICE FROM RONNY. He could not do enough for us, I would not be surprised if he sacrificed his first born child for the sake of our sourdough pizza. And the pizza itself I hear you ask? SUBLIME. What a pizza if I closed my eyes I could have heard the birds sing in Naples. I cannot recommend Ronny enough as a server, in fact I can only recommend that he never takes a day off as the people of Cardiff should not be deprived of his quick wit and charm. Thank you Ronny.

Attempted to book on a table via website with no avail. I rang the restaurant to book in which she clearly stated “ we are not taking bookings due to being understaffed. But at that time you will be fine”. I asked could I book as I wanted to be sure and she said I wouldn’t need to! We turned up 15 mins prior the said time to be turned away. Due to being understaffed. Looking around I could see two groups with menus on their tables and a waitress taking orders. I asked why they could be served and not us. To which she said “they are bookings” I explained once again the situation we have been put in and she said they were understaffed and the chef is going home shortly. I question why they’re taking orders when she just stated he’s going home soon. It bit contradictory? I asked to wait to no avail We left dishearten. I then looked on uber eats to see they are taking orders??? Why are you taking orders if your chef is going home. Surely you just didn’t want to serve us?! The restaurant had about 6 parties sat down. Disappointed is an understatement.
