We booked Afternoon Tea for a Friday lunchtime - as the Garden Room is very popular. It was served upstairs in a private area with lovely views of the gardens. Soup was in china cups, along with finger sized sandwiches in the top tier of the cake stand. All the other cake and macaroons were also delicious. Tea and coffee was also served. A snip at £20 per person. Really wonderful experience.

Amazing takeaway meals really nicely presented and at a great price. All safely given to us during restrictions and portion sizes excellent. Will be back!

Went here recently to meet some friends for food, drinks and watching a rugby game. The occasion was a casual affair and we all had pizza. I have to say that the pizza was one of the best pizza's that I have ever had and it was a joyous surprise. Very well done to the Vecchia Roma - would recommend all to try it!

Nice area clean and lovely decor, except for toilets beside the bar were awful for a restaurant, food was lovely, some salad starter (rocket and parmesan) is extremely small for the price, served on a side plate no more than a few pence worth, staff friendly and helpful, two cocktails on offer tried both, they were not well presented at all, spicy margarita was not spicy but just a standard margarita. Cabonara I enquired before ordering and it is not original it's made with cream etc, sadly. (I think that all restaurants toilets reflect all of the establishment, definitely need revamped and brought up to higher standard) I do think a bit more effort could go into the plates as £6/£7 for a couple of cuts of French bread and tiny dips, or a handful of rocket and parmesan is excessive. Ceaser salad I asked for chicken but didn't have any on when arrived at table.

It is a quaintly renovated old mill with lots of quirky character—not what you expect from the outside! It was quiet when we arrived for brunch, and we were given the full attention of the friendly and welcoming staff. The chicken fajita melt was a generous portion & very tasty. The bread was crisp & the dressing delicious. We also had a steak sandwich with pepper sauce. The meat was of excellent quality, thick, and juicy. The portions were generous & the menu was affordably priced; we will be back for sure! Leaving via the rustic bar on the ground floor we could smell the sweet aroma of the peat fire & hear the clinking Guinness glasses..... tempting on such a cold day. A hidden gem that is well worth a visit.

This takeaway is let down by the horrifically ill mannered staff. 2 weeks on a row, the apparent 'manager' has taken the order incorrectly and when we phoned, politely to ask that they correct their mistake, the answer was, 'I don't know what you want me to do, it's with you.' There were no apologies, no offer to correct their mistake but instead, she was heard to snigger about our complaint. I genuinely never complain about anything but when people are rude when you are paying for a service, I think the very least that should be offered is an apology. If the actual owner of 'Twice the Spice' reads this, please please re-think you management structure. Your current manager 'who refused to provide her name' is nothing shy of hostile, rude, and not someone you should have representing your business.
