We booked Afternoon Tea for a Friday lunchtime - as the Garden Room is very popular. It was served upstairs in a private area with lovely views of the gardens. Soup was in china cups, along with finger sized sandwiches in the top tier of the cake stand. All the other cake and macaroons were also delicious. Tea and coffee was also served. A snip at £20 per person. Really wonderful experience.

The food in the Garden Room is very fresh and full of flavour. Custom service is excellent. The location is wondrous. Buildings are full of charm and every twist and turn brings something unexpected. The Alpacas and rare bred pigs are cute. The peacock is the maitre'd and a true star.

A most wonderful afternoon tea today served by Johnny and Rachel. Great quality food and first class service. The team excelled in their catering for a dietary requirement of gluten and dairy intolerance and no meat requirement. They sought feedback and were eager to know if everything was ok. It was first class at ever level. I would highly recommend The Garden room for afternoon tea. Well done to Johnny and all the team. You definitely raise the bar in your customer service, your wonderful interaction with us and the provision of an afternoon tea that more than satisfied all four of us. Your strawberries wrapped in chocolate were yum yum yum!!! Oh so delicious!!! Thank you. Doreen

We had visited this restaurant several times over the past 5/6 years. It is located within the Annette’s garden centre and was previously known as the Sweet Pea Cafe. New owners have recently taken over and without doubt they have set a good standard. The service was excellent and the surroundings were very welcoming. We both had the homemade chicken curry for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it (2 clean plates) Can recommend and we plan to return when visiting this part of South Down.

Was given this suggestion by my sisters. We were both delighted with the food, service, building and decor. An out of the way gem, will definitely be back. The Arancini small plate offering was fantastic and a must try for all.

The Sapori is an Italian restaurant on The Mall in the centre of Newry. This business is a well loved local icon which has been here for over 20 years! Having said this, the interior is very modern with a strong Italian theme. As always we had a fantastic meal with them and I was pleased to see a vegan risotto being clearly added to the menu. We started with the Focaccia to share which comes with some condiments and a lovely garlic oil drizzle. For my main I had to try the risotto and was not disappointed, the flavour was great and the fried aubergine was delicious. I will add, I have had a vegan pizza here before (pre-roasted veg and no cheese) and it was delicious! I can't speak for all vegans but I think this was perfect and deserves a place on the menu too 😁 Overall this is a family run business with a great service and delicious food, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Went here recently to meet some friends for food, drinks and watching a rugby game. The occasion was a casual affair and we all had pizza. I have to say that the pizza was one of the best pizza's that I have ever had and it was a joyous surprise. Very well done to the Vecchia Roma - would recommend all to try it!
