The best restaurants serving Italian food in Patchway South Gloucestershire South West

Always nice here with very friendly staff.

Great lunch on a very busy Saturday, shown very quickly to a cleaned table, and given menus to select from. Within a few minutes our Server, Mikey?? apologies if spelt wrong took our drinks order and then food order on returning with the drinks. The restaurant was very busy as tables came free other customers were shown in and all of the staff were working well and as a team. Food arrived very good Lasagnes with fries and mixed salad, not a scrap left, no room for a full dessert but wife had an excellent coffee and mini donuts with Pistachio sauce, all excellent.

Before the pandemic F&Bs were one of my go to places to eat and I know that like so many businesses in the hospitality industrys were badly hit by the pandemic but that is no excuse for seriously reducing quality. My partner and I went to F&Bs at Cribbs Causeway after the cinema on the 15th Nov and found that the menu had been substantially reduced and changed, one of my favourites on the old menu was New York Chicken or Hunters Chicken as most places in the UK call it, However it was nowhere to be found on the very ruduced menu, Then I spotted Barbeque Chiken which sounded very similar so we both went for that, when it arrived it was very differnet in that the chicken was very very thin with a heavy batter and bread crumb coating. Whilst mine was a little thicker but not much I ate half but my partners was so thin she gave up and ate very little. The waitress was very good and did not charge for my partners meal and I think if I had complained at the time she probably would have not charged for mine, but as I had eaten half befor eI decided I had had enough I thought I should pay. F&Bs food used to be good honest fare and what is simpler than a nice chiken breast grilled and topped with barbeque sauce other than it is probably slightly more costly than the aweful and cheap barbeque chicken we were served. Sadly I don't see us going back to F&Bs anytime soon.

Me and five other members decided to go to pizza express over the weekend, for reference it was a Sunday at 5:15 and we had booked a table beforehand. We were first told our table wasn’t ready at 5 which is fair enough we then came back at 5:15 and were sat straight away. We were given menus and our drinks order was taken, we was then asked if we were ready to order food to which two members of the party said they still needed to look. After an HOUR no one had come back to check if we were ready to order or if our order had been taken even after other members of the public had come in later and been served. As we stood up to leave and pay for our drinks a member of staff approached us asking if we were still wanting to order food…. we said no and they continued to charge us for our drinks and try and explain to us that they were understaffed
