The best restaurants serving Italian food in Lewes South East

Love the crocodile cafe! The food is always fresh, flavoursome and delicious and the staff / service is so friendly and faultless. The lady always makes me smile. Our favourite place to go for food in Saltdean. Couldn’t recommend it enough 🍕🫶🏼🍝

This is an amazing restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, Mauri and staff are always very friendly, welcoming & always treated as a new friend not just a customer. Food is excellent, tasty & well presented

Thought I would try their pizzas since i like a pizza closed and was impressed. The pizza was hot and had plenty of topping, was delivered quickly and price was comparable with previous place. Desserts sound interesting and a cut above some on offer elsewhere.

Absolutely delicious and lovely staff - but found hairs baked into my focaccia on three separate occasions! Months apart! Fix that and this place is perfect.

I take back everything good I said about this place. I ordered using their app, waited an hour for delivery to have a bloke show up with several orders, he’d delivered several before me, the whole thing was stone cold garbage. I could’ve ordered via deliveroo within 10 minutes by all accounts. Have to wait for a refund and no where else to get food from. Absolute sham. I could’ve ordered McDonald’s delivery from Brighton and had better food!

Excellent quality food and great service in combination. I've been to two other Italians in town in the reasonably short time that I've lived in the area. One was part of a chain and was disappointing at best, the other which is an independent, was absolutely abysmal! Gino's is it the absolute polar opposite of these two. A beautifully presented dining room and great, attentive staff compliment and authentic Italian menu. I came with my partner and her mum and all three of us were served perfectly cooked and delicious Italian food. What more could you want! I'm currently booking a table for valentine's Day for myself and my partner. I think that's enough of a recommendation right there! Thank you so much guys and see you soon.

Great food, good value and should be busier for the quality. I was the only person dining on a Thursday evening. House wines were a bit average.

Our final visit to this highly authentic Italian restaurant did not disappoint. The unhurried service and perfect catering was always consistent and will now be sorely missed. We wish good luck to the owners and staff upon retirement.

The restaurant wasn't busy starters were good Main course had no flavours sad really as this used to be a very busy restaurant. We won't be returning
