The best restaurants serving Italian food in Lewes South East

Great little spot in Saltdean. Authentic Italian food. We’ve been coming here for years and the service is always so friendly. It’s a stones through from Saltdean beach and a short walk from the Lido. Couldn’t recommend this place enough 🐊🍝🍕

Incredible pasta in Lewes, high quality fresh ingredients and large portions, we went with the intention of going for the set menu but the main menu had many more options that we liked the sound of and we weren't disappointed. Friendly attentive staff as well thanks so much!

Me and my Dad stopped here for some lunch yesterday and we are so pleased we did. First of all the restaurant is so cute / beautiful, we sat outside as was a lovely sunny day. They had a lunchtime deal, any pizza / pasta and a drink for £12.99 and we both opted for that, and a bruschetta to share (highly recommend the bruschetta). The food was UNREAL, real authentic Italian food, cooked perfectly. And to top it off the service was absolutely wonderful, the waitress and waiter were both super polite and efficient and gave service with a smile. But the (I’m guessing) manager/chef went above and beyond, he made us feel super welcome, checked on us and was simply a delight. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others.

Thought I would try their pizzas since i like a pizza closed and was impressed. The pizza was hot and had plenty of topping, was delivered quickly and price was comparable with previous place. Desserts sound interesting and a cut above some on offer elsewhere.

Located a 3-minute walk from the boarding point for Dieppe, this small Italian restaurant prepares excellent, varied, generous and inexpensive dishes (pizzas, pastas, risottos). The people who welcome and run the establishment are very friendly and speak excellent French.

Visited the bar in Chichester at the Ghost at the Feast. The Aperol and Limoncello spritz both tasted of sea water and where totally undrinkable. When brought to the attention of the staff they replied that's the recipe and refused to remake the drinks.

Absolutely dreadful food! Pizza was overloaded thus soggy and dripping fat. Lasagna was simply inedible - so overcooked that the layers of pasta have disintegrated completely - had to be sent back. Despite our hunger and good intentions we left the premises disappointed, angry and still hungry.

Great food, good value and should be busier for the quality. I was the only person dining on a Thursday evening. House wines were a bit average.

Excellent quality food and great service in combination. I've been to two other Italians in town in the reasonably short time that I've lived in the area. One was part of a chain and was disappointing at best, the other which is an independent, was absolutely abysmal! Gino's is it the absolute polar opposite of these two. A beautifully presented dining room and great, attentive staff compliment and authentic Italian menu. I came with my partner and her mum and all three of us were served perfectly cooked and delicious Italian food. What more could you want! I'm currently booking a table for valentine's Day for myself and my partner. I think that's enough of a recommendation right there! Thank you so much guys and see you soon.

Our final visit to this highly authentic Italian restaurant did not disappoint. The unhurried service and perfect catering was always consistent and will now be sorely missed. We wish good luck to the owners and staff upon retirement.
