The best restaurants serving Italian food in Elmbridge South East

As a South African I really wanted to enjoy Frego since it has SA options on the menu. Sadly the Frego smash burger is the worst burger I’ve ever eaten. The meat was either off or strange mix of meat since it tasted gamey/tangy! I took one bite and couldn’t eat any more. My wife also took a bite and agreed something wrong with the meat. The bun was chewy as if it was stale and had water splashed on it and microwaved. It’s two meat patties, red onion and a sauce, so predominantly just meat, which was awful. My son’s chicken wrap was good and wife’s salmon Poke bowl was ok. We had different staff for order, deliver and then payment. They efficiently cleared my burger, which clearly was 80% not eaten. Expected the staff to ask if there was an issue, but no comment and focussed on efficiently clearing plates. Complained at payment and the server just thanked us for the feedback. Staff are either poorly trained or don’t care!

Above and beyond service and spotlessly clean

The best kebab I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. We always get the chicken shish kebab and it's been amazing every time. The portion size is huge and the amount of salad is great! We've tried a few places around the area but this one is by far the best. The wedges are also very good.

Lovely meal and great service. The assistant manager asked if we were celebrating and, when we told him it was our 31st anniversary, he gave us the deserts for free. Lovely guy who deserves to go far.

The food was the best I've ever had at a Pizza Express restaurant. Extremely friendly, kind, polite & helpful staff. Easy parking, disabled access & free WiFi. We saved £30 by each member of our party checking in, entering the table number & claiming our individual rewards via the Pizza Express App. Highly recommend! 10/10

This was a group Cafe Bridge meeting including lunch. Lunch, the wine and coffee were very expensive. £14 for a glass of Sauvignon blanc. The service was poor. Obviously not used to serving several tables at once. We had pre ordered. We waited 10 minutes after our pasta dishes were served, for Parmesan and condiments. Not appropriate for this gathering. No choice given - pasta only despite paying a premium. Service charge 13.5% excessive.

Coffee ok but only 1 size offered, need to add your own milk from a tiny milk dispenser and put on sleeve and lid that doesn’t fit twice had hot coffee on hands. Hardly any food offered, basically pastries. Bit of a monopoly at the station but the previous coffee hut was far superior.
