The best restaurants serving Italian food in Harbour Canterbury South East

In 2025, a so-called restaurant that doesn't even understand the concept of hospitality... I was served Pollo ai Funghi that was clearly undercooked. When I politely asked the waiter to have it cooked a bit more, the "chef"—who clearly lacks both culinary skill and any sense of hospitality—claimed it was just the skin and that the chicken was cooked. As I told the server, the texture was unmistakably that of raw chicken, with that unpleasant rubbery resistance. I didn’t ask for a replacement, just for it to be cooked properly, but they refused and sent the same plate back, saying “this is how it is.” They clearly don’t even understand the basics of health and safety when it comes to food service. Contacting the council will be my first priority. I strongly advise against dining here.

We eat here a lot and the food is amazing, never an issue with the service or the food but on this particular occasion we was interested in their lunch Set menu, now we have a young baby so eating in restaurants can become very difficult. We called up and spoke to the manager explaining that we would like the set menu but can only do takeaway, we asked if this was possible which she replied “yes” I then proceeded to order from the set menu and was told 20 minutes to collect. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a bill of nearly £60 for the two starters and two mains instead of the 2 x £15.95 for two course. I questioned this and the guy said they don’t do takeaway set menu and was clearly flustered as he couldn’t find the manager who had already accepted this, he argued that they have given us more food and could only offer £10 off. It left a real sour taste in our mouths as normally they’re impeccable when it comes to service and food.
