Remarkably good pizza, friendly accommodating staff, and dog friendly! We’re regulars both with kids and without. Love the laidback atmosphere :)

Vero caffè espresso e ottimo cappuccino. Cornetti, sfogliate, arancini e tante altre prelibatezze, anche per un pranzo veloce. Da provare

An absolute gem. In a world full of fast speed, expensive and low quality pizza options Base Face Pizza is doing what others should take a page from. Slow risen dough, and actually fresh toppings and ingredients are used. You can just tell from eating (devouring). The idea of using pineapple ‘jam’ rather than just chunks is innovative and well thought out. I can sense tradition but with a hint of playfulness and variety which is what food should be about! Definitely returning! Had TWO orders of the tiramisu with clotted cream and pistachio. 11/10 lads 🙏

I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews — I know how tough it is for small businesses these days with the economy, rising rates, and all the challenges they face. I’ve been here before and always had a lovely experience: the prawns were delicious, the Prosecco was fantastic, and even during COVID, grabbing a coffee on a bike ride was a treat. On my recent visit, though, I was a bit let down. I ordered the mixed seafood pasta and was given gluten-free pasta (since they had no dairy-free alternative, due to my egg/dairy intolerance, which also cost extra). I wouldn’t have minded the extra if the dish matched past visits, but sadly, the pasta was soggy and the seafood mix was underwhelming — no prawns, which was disappointing. That said, the Prosecco (even if it’s pricey) was still totally worth it, and I’ll probably stick to that and some olives next time. I still want to support this local business — I know things like rising costs, post-Brexit sourcing issues for authentic ingredients, staff shortages, and the pressure on small restaurants are real challenges. I hope things pick up for them, and I’ll definitely be back for the drinks and atmosphere. Still would advise going, they have beautiful home made antipasti in the display which are nice....
