Base Face Pizza in Hammersmith and Fulham

This is my go to pizza place in London, not just West London. Using local fresh ingredients, pizza from this shop is definitely my cup of tea. I like the dough to have a bit of substance (if you get what I mean here) but not too chewy (I am not really a fan of sourdough pizza, I feel so tired eating that every time, too much chewing, by the time I finish the pizza I have burned all of energy I consumed 😂) They also serve desserts if you have a sweet tooth. Always love going to Base Face, all venues offer the same consistent great food. Always recommend the Carbonara pizza and we had the vodka special this month.

DOG FRIENDLY Tried the cheeky pineapple with the garlic dipping sauce and they were very good together but tough to describe. It was a unique pizza with great dough / crust. Will definitely come back.

Amazing experience at this pizzeria, in our case it was in Putney. The slow dough pizzas are simply outstanding, with a perfect crust and top-quality ingredients. We also want to highlight Simone, who was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure everything was perfect for us. Without a doubt, this is a place we will return to. Highly recommended!

Base Face is our new go-to pizza restaurant in Hammersmith. We *love* their pizzas. Crispy and bubbly they’re proper thin crust sourdough pizzas. Truffle Shuffle (mushrooms with truffle) is a firm favourite of ours (and from reading reviews, we’re definitely not the only ones). Even if you hate pineapple on pizzas, the cheeky pineapple is excellent. Don't ignore the specials board. We had the Asparagus, Bacon and Egg pizza. It sounds completely mad, but was amazing. It is possibly our new favourite pizza! [Base Face - If you read this, please, please keep on making this one. Yes, it was experimental, but it was a very successful experiment!!] Update: there's now a carbonara pizza in the menu. It's delicious. And don't forget to order some garlic butter to put on the crust. Yes, it’s decadent (and very garlicy), but it really makes it. For dessert, it's all about the pistachio Tiramisu. We normally book a table, but if it's a quiet night there are usually tables free. For the summer, they also have outdoor seating on the wide pavement outside. It’s not a fancy restaurant (if you want one of those you can find one down the road). They have simple tables and chairs packed into a tiny restaurant. The staff are always friendly and helpful and it’s a busy and bustling atmosphere. Our one and only regret is having walked past two many times before we first went in.

Pizza was incredible at a good price. Nice inside space, not too cramped. Was able to swap out toppings free of charge, they catered for my dairy free diet. I had the double salami and it was incredible, the best salami I think I've had.

Great pizza! My wife loved her gluten free which is hard to get right. The use of local produce inc drinks is great. Friendly staff even on a very quiet Friday afternoon after Xmas. Thanks! It made our Theater trip (went to the Eventim afterwards) memorable for all the right reasons!

Their family friend atmosphere and pleasant staff has made this restaurant a reoccurring place for my family. The pizza is super yummy, especially with the garlic butter to dip, and affordable. We’ll be back time and time again!

Great spot for great pizza - one of my favourite pizzerias. I love having pizza with garlic butter and the quality of the ingredients is top notch. Another bonus is we don’t feel bloated after.

One of my favourite pizzerias in London, close to where I live, and now with a brand new Carbonara pizza in the menù!

The restaurant is really nice, love the decor. Pizza prices are reasonable what I would expect to pay in the area. Friendly staff very polite. Ordered 2 pizza asked to change one of the topping for jalapeños. I was surprised to see an additional charge on the bill for the jalapeños when it was an alternative topping, not an extra. Also, I thought £11 for 2 small bottles of beer was a bit expensive. Might just be me, Yorkshire man, always looking for the best deals.

Have been to the Putney and Hammersmith locations and order from Hammersmith at least once weekly. Always delicious and we adore the creative specials. Had cocktails for the first time and they were incredible. A must-visit!

Absolutely 10/10. Have always driven/walked past this place and had been wanting to try it for ages. Very happy we finally did! The pizzas themselves were amazing (we’ll defo be back to try some others) but we were specially impressed with the other things they offered. We had the burrata starter which was fantastic and so fresh. We also had the clotted cream tiramisu which was amazing. The cocktails were also really good. My partner said it was one of the best espresso martinis she ever had and the negroni was great.

Pizza looked so good, but got a margherita and it did not taste like pizza. The flavour was overpoweringly chemically and I felt sick after eating half, didn't finish. :((( Also staff seemed poorly trained, most on their phones.

Dropped in at around 4pm today and got my pizza takeaway in 5 minutes. Fabulous base and so tasty. Had been before some time ago and remembered this place.

Went for a lovely meal last night with a few friends. The pizza was absolutely on point, I’m confident to say this is onenof the best if not the best napolitan-style pizzas in Chiswick/Hammersmith area. The Manjamo pizza was out of this world! The Aperols were killer. Lovely place overall! ❤️

Delicious and speedy pizza with good vegan options!

This is my favourite pizza place in the area - especially the Cheeky Pineapple with pineapple jam is amazing. As are the dough sticks and all of the dips (vegan truffle aoilo is incredible). Friendly staff and a cool place with some outdoor tables, I go far too often.

Pizza was cold when it got here, crust is massive, dough needs stretched out way more to fit more toppings. Half the pizza is just crust. Not much sauce and burned taste to the pizza

The pizza had was delicious. The dessert wasn't great. Service was so slow and not great! I'd go back for pizza on a day where I was happy to wait (we waited ages to order everything).

One of my most favourite Pizzerias in London. Pizzas are big, filling, fresh, authentic and delicious and we were incredibly full even after one pizza each - don't settle for any chains or small places if you're nearby! Friendly owner and staff too despite it being a bit busy during dinner time when we went. Recommended.

The pizza is heavenlyyy!! The base is so light and fluffy. We got the one with pepperoni and pineapple jam. The pineapple jam was an interesting take on pineapple on pizza. We spread the dollops out a bit over slices so it was more evenly distributed. Jalapeños didn’t hold a lot of heat but the chilli oil on the table had a delicious warmth. We also enjoyed the unusual jalapeño aioli we got as a side dip. Super nice blond guy serving us! We walked in at 8.30ish pm on a Wednesday and had no trouble getting a table. Pizza came out super quick! Thanks for a delicious meal :)

Pizza came uncut and super burnt at one side. Ordered tiramisu but didn’t come with my order. No phone call to explain if it’s out of stock or anything. Pizza itself is bland too. Horrible experience.

Felt like we were eating in a bus terminal. Hats off to them their take out service is booming, but it makes for an unpleasant dining experience. The center of the tiny restaurant was occupied by a young man folding pizza boxes that squeaked like tortured mice and the incredibly young serving staff were less than attentive and more occupied with corralling the crash of helmeted delivery drivers blocking the light out of the restaurant. The dough of the pizza was excellent however the toppings were so I'll thought it and sugary that it was only consumable if it was immediately washed down with water. I had a glass of wine, a pizza and shared the rocket salad with a friend, almost certainly not worth £30. Do better Tim!

I really want to like this place as I love the food, location and branding! However, after visiting a few times the common trend is the service is really bad. Each time we’ve had to wait an incredibly long time to be served, ask for more drinks/things and asking and waiting for the bill. We always have to eventually go looking for staff who tend to be somewhere chatting or just not paying attention at all - and who act as if we’re disturbing them. Even after asking for service, they still make you wait ages. Mind you, both times there’s only been a handful of tables so not busy at all.

The pizza here is quick and tasty. The weekday lunch menu is a great deal — £12.50 for a pizza with one topping and a drink. Service is friendly and there’s a lovely patio out front for sunny days. I love that it’s easy to cycle here with the C9 cycleway passing out front and plenty of bike racks to lock up.

Ordered Margherita and Truffle pizzas on Uber Eats. Sadly it took ages to be delivered so they came cold, however they were still really good which was a surprise! Next time will definitely go there to try them fresh and hot.

I took a gamble switching from my usual favourite pizza to this on deliveroo and it was delicious. The pizza was nice and thin but the crust was chewy which I like. The garlic butter was also delicious and the spread of topping on the margarita was perfect. A very lovely treat.

Lovely little spot for amazing quality pizza. Ordered the bread sticks to start with the yummiest garlic dip. Very accomodating to non-dairy needs too. Staff were friendly, plus dogs allowed!

I thought I’d share my appreciation for base face pizza. Really never fails to disappoint. Up there with the best pizzas in London. Outstanding pizza quality. I’d like to see more adventurous toppings in the future and I wish the pizzas were bigger. - maybe that’s my inner pig talking.

We've tried a fair number of pizza places, and this one by far is our favourite - found the food to be real value for money, and the tiramisu is amazing!!

Pizza's were delicious and service very friendly. We made a mistake with our online order (100% our fault), which we realised at pick-up. Staff were very understanding and helped us sort things out, thank you!

Awesome pizza and very friendly service for kids and adults.

We ordered 2 pizzas directly on the Base Face website to avoid using Deliveroo or UberEats. The pizzas never arrived. We phoned the restaurant to let them know. The manager said she couldn’t give us a refund and offered to send us new pizzas instead. We didn’t really trust their delivery services anymore, so we declined her offer. After some back and forth, the manager phoned the delivery company, Storekit, who told her that the pizzas had been delivered to a brown door. We don’t have a brown door. The manager then said we need to contact Storekit ourselves to get a refund, which we thought was appalling, particularly as contact details for Storekit aren’t automatically provided by Base Face when you order - you have to call Base Face and ask for Storekit’s contact details. Besides, if you order a product from a website and the product isn’t delivered, do you normally take it up with the courier company? You don’t, you take it up with the company that sold you the product, and they refund you. The manager said that’s all she can do for us, so we contacted the delivery company in the end, and we still haven’t received a refund after a week! Moreover, the manager hung up on us when we tried to tell her how terrible and unacceptable this all was. She also told us that their delivery service actually uses Uber drivers, so there’s no point in ordering direct from Base Face - UberEats and Deliveroo are actually much better at handling issues like these... What a stressful experience. Shameful service, and so disappointing… We’d been supporting this business since before it opened as a physical restaurant, when it was Zio Tim’s Pizzeria, and we used to love it. I’m afraid we won’t be coming back, Tim.

We loved the atmosphere passing by this place near our neighbourhood and decided to give it a try. Very glad we found it, I’d rank base face pizza my top 3 pizza places in London! Personally I enjoy pizza with pineapples and this is one of the few places that offer a “Hawaiian” pizza in Napoli style pizzas (very cheeky indeed as it’s name “Cheeky Pineapple” suggests) The place is always pretty busy and we were only able to get a table our second attempt visiting.

I had the opportunity to eat the pizza here at Base Face. The location is easy to reach, and I recommend booking if you're a large group or planning to go during busy times. The inside is not huge, but I liked the decor. The people are very friendly anyway, the menu is not huge but there is a great selection. Even in terms of speed during the preparation, it was pretty fast. The pizza was very delicious and the toppings were good. One thing that's essential for a good pizza is the dough and the cooking time, and those were perfect 👌. I def recommend it!

I am following up with an updated review after the owner was kind enough to take on board the feedback shared. Originally we were turned away for table service, despite the restaurant due to be open for almost another 45/50 mins. The owner took on board the feedback and worked with us to find a resolution. As a result, we had a follow up dining experience here and I am very pleased to share it was excellent! The pizzas were amazing! Would recommend the truffle pizza as the flavours and textures were exquisite. Desserts are also worth saving space for. Thank you for the excellent food and above all, for taking time to listen and take on board the feedback.

Impulsive visit prompted by my daughter who isn’t normally a pizza fan. Lovely fresh ingredients and a good mix of adventurous and original pizzas like the Pumpkin, Stilton, spinach, and Mozzarella pizza and favourites like Capriciosa. All well executed with thin crispy but puffy dough. Well trained, happy, helpful and kind staff. Overall nice atmosphere, great Pizzas, and ticks sustainability and good ingredients. Recommended.

We live just around the corner from this pizzeria, and absolutely love it. We have many other options around us, and we've tried them all, but this easily beats the competition. Their happy hour deal of a pizza with a drink for £12 is one we will take advantage of frequently!

Best vegan pizza I have had, great selection.

I personally called and spoke to a lady over the phone to ask you to cut the pizza due to my father’s disability with only being able to use one hand! Not every person is able to cut their own pizza! Disappointed because you are clearly oblivious to people who suffer with disabilities or elderly people.

Actually had it delivered so cannot attest to the atmosphere (yet), but oh gosh it was the best pizza I've had in a looong time (and I had tried out lots of top rated pizzas in the area). Had the double salami with jalapeno dip and it was amazing. DO NOT skip on the dipping!! Generous topping. Soft yet crispy dough. Great price. What more can you ask for. Thank you Base Face, I'm looking forward to dine in the next time!!

Just want to let you guys know that your pizza has made me actually enjoy Neapolitan style. It's honestly the best Neapolitan i've ever had. I generally don't like Neapolitan because a lot of places make it too wet or don't get the char right or produce dough that tastes rubbery. But you guys make it absolutely perfect. I eat two a go every time. I've had a lot of the 'big' Neapolitan places in West and central and this is honestly my favourite. I don't even generally write reviews for stuff I just want you guys to know you're doing amazing work and thank you!

A really lovely restaurant. The service was excellent, people are super nice and helpful. The pizza was very tasty and reasonably priced. I'd prefer this place to Franco Manca etc. If you haven't, you should give it a try - it's also on Deliveroo.
