Mezzet Dar

Molesey East, Elmbridge
13/12/2018: First time visiting Hampton Court the high street is full of pretty little eating places but this one looked especially welcoming. Lovely decor, friendly staff ,great ambiance and amazing food and wine. We loved everything
09/12/2018: I am giving Mezzet Dar a higher rating than it really deserves, simply because the food is extremely good - the Patatas Bravas are the best I have tasted. The dining experience for us was a disappointment. We had reserved a table weeks ahead, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted to eat at 6:30 pm, but were contacted to say we would need to vacate the table by 8pm. This felt a little rushed for the occasion, so we thought it would be acceptable to turn up 15 mins early. We were taken to our table, which was a tiny affair tucked into a corner of the front window and right next to the door. During the short time we were there, the door was in frequent use, so not ideal. To make matters worse, there were two tables for four that were further inside the restaurant, one of which was empty for the duration of our visit. The other was given to a couple who had walked in with no reservation! We ordered some bread and olives as a starter to go with our drinks, but half way through, the tapas plates began to arrive in pairs (the table was so small there was no room for more than two at a time). With the cold wind coming through the door each time it opened, we didn't want our food to get cold, so we ate things as they arrived. We had ordered five plates, which was a good amount for the two of us. However the meal was over in no time, and between entering the restaurant and leaving, less than an hour had passed. As an anniversary meal out, this one will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The Old Plough

Oxshott and Stoke D'Abernon, Elmbridge
12/12/2018: Love the food and atmosphere here. Booking is a must as it is always busy.
11/12/2018: I’ve been to The Old Plough on a few occasions in the past and always found the food, staff and ambience to be good. Booked a table of 22 to celebrate my Mum’s 80th last week and could not be more impressed. All staff were amazing, both on the communication front prior to our lunch ( Sophie and Anthony) and on the day ( Agostino, Denise and all other waiting staff). The food was excellent and I don’t think we could have been looked after better. So glad I chose The Old Plough, I really felt they cared!

Wheatsheaf on the Green

Esher, Elmbridge, 20-30£
11/12/2018: 4 of us ate here and were very pleased we did! Esher has a lot of choices and The Wheatsheaf is a very short walk but worth it. Lots if choice. Great sevice. Nice look to the place and a good drinks selection.
05/12/2018: All I can say we had 20 of us booked in for work exmas meal.. Food was best I have ever had out at a pub Everyone got hot food on time and what everyone asked for. Staff was 100% great service

Nikki's Caffe

Weybridge South, Elmbridge
05/12/2018: Based near the centre of Weybridge and close to plenty of parking. We went for brunch and it was packed; fortunately we had made a reservation and I would recommend this. Breakfast finishes at 12 noon, so ideal for brunch.
09/11/2018: This is a busy and popular place so it's worth making a reservation if you intend staying for more than only a cup of coffee.

Petriti's Restaurant

Molesey East, Elmbridge, <20£
15/12/2018: Had a celebratory evening meal with friends last night at Petriti’s and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful Christmas decorations added to the ambiance, and the owner (wife of the Gordon Ramsey-trained chef) greeted us with her usual big smile and immediately made us feel welcomed.
15/12/2018: Having just moved to the area we took a chance, booking a table for lunch with friends. We had a great time: the menu had a tendency towards fine dining but at everyday prices. It all tasted delicious! The service was attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely return, particularly as the tasting menu looks incredible.

Walton Central, Elmbridge
14/12/2018: Was invited to a gathering of friends at this fabulous restaurant, and what a brilliant night it was. Friendly, attentive staff, fabulous food, and a belly dancer which made the evening fun with her interaction with the customers. A great night.
11/12/2018: Capadoccia never disappoints good size portion , tasty and well elaborated food . A deferential must for those Sundays when you feel like not cooking and enjoying a nice family meal

The Queens Head

Weybridge South, Elmbridge, 20-30£
18/12/2018: We went there with another couple, and this was a first time visit for the four of us.
15/12/2018: Fantastic staff, food, wine choices and atmosphere. We had the nook area which was cosy, private and filled with laughter. Highly recommend this pub if you want the perfect staff Christmas meal xx

The Hare and Hounds

Claygate, Elmbridge, <20£
16/12/2018: Visited with friends after work. There was live music and as we wanted to talk, we sat in the restaurant side. Drinks were swiftly served. For starters we had a veggie board garlic bread and snails. The veggie board had the most delicious falafels I have ever tasted! The snails were excellent. For mains - we had the steak, fish and chips and polenta with veggies. Each main was exceptional. Washed down with some great wine for me and the lads had a good selection of beers on draught. 10/10 on service too.
13/12/2018: I visited the Hare and Hounds for a comedy night this December and had an excellent meal. Delicious terrine for starter and a curry that matches "proper" Indian restaurants for flavour and quality. An excellent evening and ever friendly staff.

Le Petit Nantais

Molesey East, Elmbridge
04/12/2018: We visited on Saturday night taking another couple to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was full and had a great atmosphere. We had a fantastic meal and wine with the speciality prawn starter a reliable star. The pork main course was probably the best pork dish I have ever eaten. The staff apologised that there was some delay to the main course arrival but we felt that there was in fact no delay. Overall a tremendous evening with our guests raving about the quality of the food. George L
01/12/2018: Our group of friends meet up about four or five times a year and look forward to catching up over a drink and good food. Yesterday evening had been arranged for some time and a booking had been made, on recommendation, for Le Petit Nantais. A £20 deposit was required for our group of 9 to confirm the booking.

Weybridge South, Elmbridge, 45-60£
01/01/2019: We came to this lovely restaurant for my wife’s 50th with the family. We had a variety of dishes across a varied menu, from hummus/taramasalata to frogs legs, lamb shank and meatballs, and other delicious Lebanese dishes. The service was excellent. Many thanks and we will certainly be back.
28/12/2018: We stopped here for dinner. We had the Ambassador Menu at £21.50 each which consisted of lots of small meze dishes. All very tasty! Nice ambience, a bit like someone's lounge! Good service and lovely food.

The Running Mare,

Oxshott and Stoke D'Abernon, Elmbridge
11/12/2018: Un buon locale con sevizio efficiente e cortese.
09/12/2018: I booked a group lunch for 20 people as a surprise for my wife's birthday. The communications with the manager was excellent with all my emails about the event being answered by return. I asked all the guests (apart from my wife) to order ahead of the lunch so the restaurant could prepare. We were given a relatively secluded part of the restaurant which was perfect for us. My wife ordered at the restaurant (once she got over the shock). The food was served exactly at the time that I requested and everyone commented on how wonderful their meals were. One of our guests was Vegan and she loved her meal. Service was excellent and staff really went out of their way to make this a special event. There were no long waits for food at all. We have eaten in the restaurant on a number of occasions in the past and food quality has been consistently excellent. I would recommend The Running Mare without any hesitation.

Sherpa Kitchen

Esher, Elmbridge, 30-45£
14/11/2018: The staff couldn’t do enough for us, attentive but not over bearing. Food was really tasty. Not your usual curry choices, so don’t expect a chicken korma!
11/11/2018: Had dinner here. Food was not good at all. Poppadoms were stale. Rice was stodgy. And very expensive. Would definitely not visit here again.

Alio's Delicatessen

Walton North, Elmbridge
07/12/2018: Alio’s is just amazing and such a joy to visit. It offers such a wide range of authentic Italian food and the wine selection is great too! We live locally and pop down all the time, we particularly love their olive oil. Joe is the nicest guy ever and it’s always a pleasure to see him. I can’t recommend Alio’s enough, if you haven’t been make sure you do soon!
05/12/2018: Really nice Italian family run this cafe. Panini and pasta seen to be the two popular dishes. We all had different items . I like soup for lunch. We didn't have a large meal just a snack but we all had sweets. My coffee was amazing with a really rich taste.

Osso buco

Weybridge South, Elmbridge, 30-45£
03/12/2018: My son visited us from University and we decided on Saturday evening on a verý short notice to go out for dinner. Even though I live in the area I never tried Osso Buco. My wife suggested it, called and they managed to find a table for us. From the moment we arrived until we left, the attention, service and most importantly food were great. Maybe the Tiramusu was a bit below average, but all in all, great dining experience. A big plus is that around the corner there is a huge parking place, hence parking is not an issue.
27/11/2018: Nice atmosphere friendly staff The food is freshly made Nice wine list with a lot of options We will definitely go back for more

Walton South, Elmbridge
07/12/2018: Eaten here a few times now. The quality of the fish and chips is a step up from your average chippy. When you place an order you won't see them reaching for the 'keep warm' tray like you get in other chippy's. Yes wait time may be longer but it's worth it for the end result.
06/11/2018: We found out about this takeaway about 6 months ago and we haven't used anywhere else since for fish and chips. The food is fantastic and the quality of the fish is unbeatable. Chips aren't too bad either and the portions are extremely generous. Staff always friendly and will be getting our custom as long as things stay as they are
