Jolly Drover

Rogate, Chichester
08/11/2018: This place had been recommended previously and one of our group had visited earlier in the week and we therefore agreed someone else could "do" the sunday roast. The presentation of our meals was lovely and food was plentiful and hot. However the roast potatoes we were served had obviously got burned on one side and had black bottoms - a shame. The men thought the steak and kidney pie superb and the ladies loved the beef and chicken meals. Desserts are a little different and most enjoyable. Lemon and Lime crunch is a cheesecake and decidedly mmmmmmm. Orange and raspberry bread and butter pudd equally so. Hot fresh coffee was the perfect ending to the meal. Intend to visit again, just hope I don't get put into the jokey "Naughty Corner" seats for saying about the burnt offering.
29/10/2018: Lovely pub still has just drinkers which is a rarity these days. Good home cooked pub food, consistent in quality, staff friendly helpful and efficient and willing to assist.

The Rising Sun

Rogate, Chichester
04/11/2018: A must visit country pub , great service and warm welcome from Amber Behind bar , service was quick and efficient and food cooked to perfection. Warm friendly atmosphere and log fire burning.
24/10/2018: What a lovely pub serving great food and who'd have thought we'd be sitting outside in their garden enjoying our family lunch in October!

The Flying Bull Inn Restaurant

Rogate, Chichester, <20£
10/11/2018: Lovely food, perfectly cooked. Had a simple burger one night, which was cooked perfectly. Juicy beef, brioche bun, creamy brie, with slaw and crispy on the outside chips. Another time I had swordfish, again simply cooked with butter and lemon, with baby vegetables, just perfect.
29/10/2018: Due to shortage of staff a very long wait for food, but was well worth waiting for, it was fresh, hot, tasty and greatly enjoyed. Welcome at first a little lacking due I think to being busy but when thawed lovely and welcoming. Do book they cannot cope with large numbers at this stage but definitely one to watch and try

Durleighmarsh Tea Barn

Rogate, Chichester
09/10/2018: We had been to Durleighmarsh Farm before to pick Pumpkins but this time we decided to stop for some lunch too. The food was lovely and the place has a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. We sat for a while enjoying the autumn sunshine while we drank our tea and ate our sandwiches. The reason I haven't given five stars is that the service was quite slow and when were entered the cafe, despite staff looking up it took them a while to acknowledge or greet us. This left us standing awkwardly for nearly ten minutes waiting to order. We smiled and tried to say hello but the staff seemed a little rushed.
15/09/2018: It's a good pick your own farm with reasonable price. We've always enjoyed Durleighmarsh farm for fresh fruits. I like to go get our strawberries, raspberries, blue berries, black currents, beans, corn stalks, and many more. Lot's of fun for the kids. Different times of the year you can go out and pick your own fruits, etc... we can get all the organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, plant pots and eggs etc.. very nice and friendly staff.

Rake Garden Centre

Rogate, Chichester
09/07/2018: We were a family of 3, called in on the spur of the moment and thought it was ok. My son loved the chocolate cake but it was expensive. The staff were not very helpful and we would not rush back there for another coffee brunch..
28/05/2018: Delicious soup, home made. Nice place to eat, not too busy. Good to take a break when looking around the garden centre

The White Horse Inn

Rogate, Chichester
28/10/2018: The Roast we had had was quite delicious and the young waitress was excellent, very polite and attentive. Unfortunately we witnessed the chap, whom we believe is the Manager, refuse to serve food to a young family over a booking. He was very unprofessional and embarrassed himself. The poor family were obviously very upset. For a pub that this trying to get back on its feet after a period of closure he hasn't helped. We will eat there again as the food is wonderful. I hope that the family found somewhere to eat.
14/10/2018: Outstanding meal, couldn't have been better. Catered to 12 people with no issues what so ever. Perfect.
