The Sir Roger Tichborne

Plaistow, Chichester, <20£
25/02/2020: I visited this gem with friends and enjoyed friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful array of food . We had two fussy eaters with us and they were very happy to help . Definitely worth a visit but I do recommend booking as it was extremely busy ! Sticky toffee pudding is a must !
25/02/2020: Tom is a character and helped me out with my dog in the car park and the food was amazing great service and definitely coming back

Onslow Arms

Plaistow, Chichester
12/02/2020: This pub has an amazing location on the Arun Canal. Over the last few years it's been a bit hit and miss but the new management have made a significant difference. I've been using this pub on and off for several years. Food is varied and very good. Have also introduced Pizza that are delicious. I find myself using this pub far more now. Staff are friendly and helpful which you would normally take for granted but it's true to say previous experiences here in the past ( previous management) were far from pleasant and off putting. Warm log fires in the winter and in the summer lazy days outside next to the canal. A prefect location for a canal trip as the boat office for trips is right next to the pub.
10/02/2020: Lovely pub with fantastic staff. Food was excellent, with good sized portions and all looked lovely. Will visit again!

Half Moon Pub

Plaistow, Chichester
14/09/2019: One of the joys of Sussex is its wealth of interesting, under-discovered country pubs. The Half Moon is a quirky, fascinating place from the old red tractor standing out the front to an interior that's like a museum of county life. My wife's steak pie was very good, and my veggie stir-fry excellent. It was quiet, but with plenty of atmosphere. The landlord and staff were chatty and interesting. They have dogs of their own, and it was a good place to take our own. This being within the South Downs National Park there are great walks and drives all around with the dramatic Black Down a couple of miles up the road. Will definitely go again.
07/09/2019: The best pub in the area. Almost the only pub not trying to be a restaurant. I quite like the gastro pub concept but I like to go to a pub for a beer.

corner kitchen Plaistow stores

04/01/2020: Quick coffee and a sarnie at lunchtime, half way through my cycle ride. Great service, epic coronation chicken sandwich and coffee. Great find - try it if your passing, you won’t be disappointed!
04/06/2019: Another lovely stop at the Plaistow Sores cafe - out for a 40 mile cycle i=ride, and needed a good coffee and panini. Just what I needed and came with a salad and crisps to make a complete meal.
