Into the Blue

Marine, Adur, 20-30£
03/09/2018: I had been recommended this restaurant a number of times and in all honesty I was put off by the location of the establishment. The restaurant is in a small parade of shops and the outside of the building does not do justice at all to the inviting interior of this lovely eatery. We were warmly treated and seated by the staff. The restaurant was full even though it was a Tuesday and only 18:30! I had mistakenly underestimated the popularity of this place so I was very glad that I had booked in advance because I would have been very disappointed if I had just turned up on the day. Please take note to book in advance and to be aware that there are two sittings in the evening as I did not know this until I was informed at the table that we would have to vacate by 20:30. I was also unaware that if you eat earlier you also have the opportunity to take advantage of a set menu deal which is very good value for money. Only one of our party did take advantage of the set meal as the other five of us were seduced by the main menu and specials board. I had the bouillabaisse which was so delicious it is making my mouth water thinking of it! I would heartily recommended anyone who enjoys fish to visit here.
30/08/2018: We had lunch at this restaurant today and we were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and the service was very friendly and timely.

Shoreham Airport Restaurant

Mash Barn, Adur
23/08/2018: I was slightly concerned about visiting, having seen some of these reviews, but I couldn’t have hoped for a better meal. My meal was prepared by a superb young chef (I think he was called Nathan) and I’d recommend him and the restaurant to anyone fortunate enough to be in the area.
20/08/2018: Grade 2 listed building, art nouveau, the 1940s music playing was great as you watch planes, helicopters take off and land, children, dogs welcome, just great atmosphere.

Meze Meze

Widewater, Adur, 20-30£
06/08/2018: Fantastic... What can I say! Very clean, friendly staff, great food we will eat hear again and again.
06/08/2018: We had fish maze for two. One meal would have been enough. Lovely food but we were stuffed. Would go for just a main course next time

Ropetackle Fish and Chips

St Mary's, Adur
18/08/2018: Excellent quality, well cooked without any grease, they use palm oil. Nice fresh salad. Would come back again.
14/08/2018: Delivery a great idea, wish more chippys did the same. No grease,no waste, no skin, fab crispy chips not soggy at all. Tasty large sausages and delivered hot, very impressed.

Tosca Ristorante

St Mary's, Adur, <20£
04/09/2018: Really good Italian food with very good service. The restaurant is very smart and a pleasant place to eat.
01/09/2018: Been to Tosa before. The menu has a good selection of dishes, pasta, pizza and meat dishes.

Mr Chips

Widewater, Adur
26/07/2018: I have had fish and chips throughout southern England and most of Ireland and this is as good if not better than any other place and by far the cheapest. I was blessed to be staying across the road for two nights and after night one my whole family returned for night number two. It is a takeaway place and the wait was not long either night. It is run by Mr.Chips and I believe his wife. He is extremely friendly and the size of the fish and chips are both extremely large. I would rate the Fish as tied for best ever with a pub in Dingle Ireland that I have already reviewed and the chips are in first all by themselves. They could easily double their prices and it be a value.
04/06/2018: Absolutely love Mr Chips, staff are very friendly, food is fresh and soo yummy! Deffo recommend to everyone.

Real Patisserie

St Mary's, Adur
23/08/2018: Perfectly cooked bacon and warm fresh baguette. Clean, nice staff too. Regular cappuccino was great. Good location.
21/08/2018: Called in to this delightful coffee shop/bakery 3 times over a couple of days visit to the area. Really good coffee, served by smiley staff, great bread and a beautiful selection of cakes. A gem.

Ginger & Dobbs

St Mary's, Adur
25/08/2018: I love this little cafe, took my daughter who’s a vegetarian, usually on a menu there’s one veg choice, here she was spoilt and eventually decided on a goats cheese salad, once finished she asked ‘when can we come here again!’ Definitely soon!!
21/08/2018: Went for a coffee and cake with my friend, I had lemon drizzle and she had a coffee and walnut. Both agreed the service was friendly, cosy and welcoming. However, the cake was a little dry. But would definitely go again:)

Peverel, Adur
12/08/2018: Food was amazingly fresh (naga chicken ) drinks are fairly priced and service is very welcoming. always ask for a little discount on larger orders or party bookings. You don't ask you don't get! :)
28/06/2018: I visit this curry house on a regular basis also good for takeaway. Definitely the best curry house I have ever visited

The Coffee Lounge

Churchill, Adur
23/06/2018: This coffee shop is an absolute little gem. Run and owned by perhaps the nicest man in the world, Tino it's an absolute treasure every time I go, which is a lot. They have a wide range of hot drinks including many little 'Shots' which you can add it to your coffee as well as a vast array of fizzy drinks and milkshakes.
17/05/2018: Been here several times for a takeaway coffee before getting the train, as it opens early, which is a real plus. The guy who runs the place is always really friendly and professional. It has taken me a little while to pay attention to the prices, and although most reviews say they are reasonable, I have to disagree. I bought a takeaway Flat White and paid £2.60 - it was nice, but not a perfect Flat White (coffee snob). I then headed up to London, got an amazing Flat White from Pret a Manger to drink in, and only paid £2.45. I just can't see how a cafe in Lancing should be charging service station prices for their (OK) coffee.

The Bridge Inn Shoreham

St Mary's, Adur
03/09/2018: Busy Saturday eve, very noisy in main bar so staff kindly moved us to quieter bar, no fuss.
26/08/2018: A very good meal on a busy bank holiday weekend. The sea bass special was excellent and our nephew enjoyed the steak. The service from a young team was first class. Friendly, efficient and unfussy. This is a well run, family friendly, pub where the staff are well trained.

Miller and Carter

Manor, Adur
15/08/2018: Our first time at this restaurant chain. We had a warm welcome and comfortable seating. Surroundings are pleasant and it was easy to park. We had Sirloin, rump and fillet, with some vegetable sides, sweet potato and ordinary fries. The salad wedge idea, which comes with these orders we thought did not fit; it was a piece of iceberg lettuce with a choice of sauce thrown on. Some of the leaves were brown, but they willingly replaced it. The steaks were very good and some as ordered. The sweets were just too sweet and sugary for me, with a very factory feel. If you have a fairly sweet tooth you'll be fine. But a cracking place for a reasonably priced steak and chips. The service was good but not brilliant. I would go again for steak main dishes.
06/08/2018: Went to Miller and carter in lancing yet again at the weekend it’s becoming a habit we seem to go there every week . We’re lucky as we can walk there it really is such a nice place staff are lovely food is really good and so nicely presented. We’ve not had any complaints at all so far .

Beach Bakery

Marine, Adur
04/09/2018: Being a veggie can limit your choices somewhat but luckily this place has a great range of veggie friendly food. Picked up a salad baguette and vegan sausage roll with a lovely fruit tea to go. Friendly quick and it all tasted fresh and delicious!
02/09/2018: Popped in to grab a bite service was very friendly. Nice Danish and coffee was good value for money was good.

Chambers Bistro

St Mary's, Adur, 30-45£
02/09/2018: It was warm enough to sit outside on the terrace, our drinks were served quickly and the staff were attentive, my partner enjoyed the smoked salmon starter, while i had the duck roll, which were light, crammed full of duck and a light plum sauce, I opted for the Lamb with bubble and squeak, while he had the steak, the presentation and food quality was great, too full for a dessert we opted for liqueur coffees, a most enjoyable evening
30/08/2018: We regularly visit for lunch and dinner, both as a couple and with family. The ambience and friendly staff match the pleasant decor and excellent food choice.
