My friend and I went to Lancing today with our babies (1 year old and 7 month old). We were made extremely welcome by the staff at the tea room. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. I had a cheese scone and it was both delicious and an extremely reasonable cost. The staff there were very friendly towards our babies and we will definitely going back! I would 100% recommend this to any families.

Proper old fashioned ( in a nice way ) tea room. Extremely good value, can be busy on special days, but always room for another, and even when quiet, always someone to talk to if you want. Warm, cosy with great range of homemade cakes and an espresso machine. Says it all for me. None of this instant stuff for me.

Уютное английское местечко. Английский чай в винтажном английском фарфоре. Вкусные десерты. Английская чайная. Горячий чай в ветренную погоду спасает и согревает. Домашняя выпечка очень вкусная

As well as meeting up here with 5 friends every other Friday for a chat, cuppa and piece of cake, I often call in on my way back from the bus stop on the front. There is always a warm welcome and the cakes are homemade and lovely. The ladies who work here are really friendly and always have time for you. I love the old China tea ware and the fact that you can just sit by the window and watch the world go by without being rushed.

Relaxed friendly cafe with delicious cakes and good selection of drinks. Lovely odd assortment of pretty china and things to do such as colouring books, newspapers and puzzle books on the tables. Nice place to drop into, sometimes crowded and quiet at other times. Everyone working here is a volunteer so go with the flow!

This newly opened Vintage Tea Room at Chesham House is staffed by volunteers and sells a wonderful selection of home-made cakes, teas and coffees all served in fine china tea sets (which DO make all the difference!) with all proceeds going back into the work the Royal Voluntary Service provides for elderly people in the area. It's not just for retired people though, and everyone is welcome to pop in. The prices are really reasonable and the quality is amazing.

One very tired newborn mum needed a coffee but had the baby sleeping in the car, so they hand delivered it to me. Top service from a lovely indie cafe 👌

I came in here as saw a lovely pooch in the window and had a quick orange juice. Was very good. Nice atmosphere. Haven't tried food (yet).

As a taxi driver, I regularly pick up passengers from various venues, but I've consistently had unpleasant experiences with customers from Buckingham Arms. Many of them have been disrespectful and rude, and some have even displayed racist behavior. Recently, I had a particularly difficult encounter with a man named Ian, who claimed to be a shareholder of the pub and refused to pay his fare. Due to these repeated negative experiences, I will no longer be accepting pick-up requests from this location.
