L'oro di Napoli

Northfield, Ealing
03/09/2020: Love this pizza place. For me is one of the best pizza in London. Excellent quality and very cheap (or should I say normal pizza price) not like other places around London where they charge you crazy prices. Very nice staff and friendly environment. A trip to Napoli without travelling to Italy.
27/08/2020: This restaurant serves one-of-a-kind pizza which varies largely from what is classified as pizza nowadays. L’oro di Napoli has a very extensive range of pizzas which are all made to order quickly. These pizzas are what a pizza should be. The pizzas are also surprisingly cheap for the quality of food there. Overall, highly recommended.

Southall Broadway, Ealing, 20-30£
18/09/2020: Decided to take advantage of their September deal of up to £10 off per person but didn't realise this was based on a minimum £25 spend. Anyway, ordered 3 starters and 3 mains, naan and a glass of wine for 3 of us. Worked out to around £25 each after discount applied. Food was quite tasty. Could have had a little more depth of flavour but we didn't know until we had ordered it otherwise could have asked for it. Will know to ask that next time. Quantity of food was ok but a little on the low side for my expectation. This was based on the cost of each dish, Felt it is a little over priced for what you get and I've had better flavours in local restaurants that offer better value for money. Maybe because they are a large caterer and heavily advertise, costs have to be covered somewhere. I agree with what people say about the staff. They were courteous and attentive and food was served quickly. Nice atmosphere and COVID measures adhered to so made you feel comfortable. Nice to have tried but at their usual price, I would rather stick to some of the more familiar places I visit when I go to Southall.
16/08/2020: Wow amazing starters to start with and ends with simply delicious deserts along with birthday cake from next table celebration 😆 Highly recommend Great food with great hospitality.

Park's Kitchen

Walpole, Ealing
02/08/2020: My first visit here and what can say , the food was just so good ,service with a smile ,small place however one of the best ,lots of variety of dishes
18/07/2020: We got takeaway and it arrived so quickly and was absolutely delicious! Portions were large for the price and everything tasted very fresh. The spicy pork was the best but the vegetable dumplings were a close second. All containers were airtight so none of the sauces spilled in transit. Will definitely order again!

Raunka Punjab Diyan

Greenford Broadway, Ealing, <20£
06/09/2020: Went there for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Lovely authentic taste. However, the service was absolutely atrocious. There’s ONE staff member Who is only seen when she’s taking your order and then disappears for ages until your food comes. It’s really hard to get her attention when she does come out to serve food to other tables. Even when your food is served, you are waiting for long periods of time for everything to arrive. For example the chicken curry may come but the lamb curry and chapatis come 5 mins later?! We waited about two minutes to be noticed when we walked in as there wasn’t a staff member in sight. In any other restaurant you would always have a member of staff standing around the till/bar area but in this restaurant you don’t. It’s very peculiar. The same thing happened two years ago when I went and because had a really bad service and never went back. I went back today and the service is just as bad. In fact, there is no service. Good job the food makes up for it otherwise I would never go back.If the restaurant owner is reading this please always have a member of staff on the restaurant floor. I saw so many customers get up to call her from the kitchen. Customers should not have to get up to order their food when eating in. This is the only thing that let’s your restaurant down. Please take this feedback as constructive and do something about it. Otherwise, there is no point leaving feedback.
04/09/2020: We went this place was excellent. Staff was so helpful.we tried sag and dal indian food we had there.we will come back..

13/07/2020: Always had a great meal here and the same goes after lock down. Service is great and friendly. Meze is excellent value and quality - good selection of cold and hot dishes. Greek wine is surprisingly good and again, great value.

The Swan

Southfield, Ealing, <20£
12/09/2020: We visited the swan recently and sat in their lovely garden. They are dealing with COVID brilliantly, friendly, low key, but every safety rule adhered to. Safe but no drama. Drinks and service highly recommended.
30/07/2020: Lovely dinner and fantastic service. Ella made the trip personable and went above and beyond. Loved our evening with you.

Atmosphere (decorations, layout, menu) was very appealing and inviting. Staff were really nice and made us feel welcome. Lovely spot for a quick lunch or even a date. Definitely recommend.

Le Vacherin

Southfield, Ealing, 45-60£
07/09/2020: We have been coming over the years, to celebrate occasions or just to have a lovely dinner in a great location. We have never been let down. The staff is always very attentive and you can tell they choose their employees carefully. The food has always been great. I mean, who tries Le Vacherin cheese cannot live without it! Everything about this place makes me happy. The vibe, the food, the staff and the restaurant itself. May not be the cheapest but it is worth every penny!
07/09/2020: Went back after the lockdown and found the place different as you expect with alll the right precautions. But the staff were welcoming as usual and the food was of high standard as usual.I am happy that they are keeping trading. I will be back as i have been many time.

There is usually parking right outside and Park Royal underground station is 30 seconds around the corner. The food is authentic Italian cuisine.I would thoroughly recommend the sea bass. Grand Junction Arms

East Acton, Ealing
01/09/2020: The venue is large and there are marked one way paths, there seems to be a lot of rules but bearing in mind our new normal and that this venue has the potential to hold a lot of people, I think it is wise and a constant reminder - which is probably needed after a few drinks! The staff are friendly and efficient. The ordering via the app easy and quick. I think I prefer to order this way!! The food is WONDERFUL. It is the usual fayre and not a big menu but everything is cooked perfectly. The Sunday lunch was DIVINE, chidrens portions generous.
14/08/2020: I have been a patron of this pub for many years, but my trip in July was definitely my last.I reserved an area for 15 people from 2-7pm on Design My Night. When we turned up, we were informed that we could only have the area from 2-6pm. Not a problem, as the barmaid informed us we could move elsewhere in the pub. The area was divided into 2 parts, with a wicker sofa down the middle, therefore giving us an area of, what it transpired, was 2x6 people....I asked the barmaid if I could re-arrange the seating area, she said yes and even helped me move the chairs..Then along came the manager. A rather bullish lady, with no people skills whatsoever. Not what you want when you are trying to support a local business, and someone who i have had brief chats with over the years."No, no, no... you can't do that.. i have the council coming in here every weekend, and I'm not losing my licence for anyone...", to which I replied, "your barmaid gave permission, she even helped me arrange the seating..." The manager was not having it. She went off to find the disobedient barmaid, then came back and moved a table a couple of centimetres.. Hooray...!! The manager is happy, let's get on with our gathering... or so I thought..In total, each round was coming to £60-£80, bear in mind there were 15 of us.Onto the Jagerbombs. The first 4 rounds of shots were given over with glee, as was the obscene amounts of money we were spending... but wait.. the barmaid, (not the disobedient one) had a change of heart all of a sudden. She decided that there was a limit on the amounts of shots that can be ordered. She told one person that "you've had enough..""Thats funny", she replied, "I'm drinking lemonade...""Where does it say that..?" we asked. We were ignored. No attempt was made to explain. "Can we speak to the manager please..?" "She's too busy, i can't find her.." which is it...? The barmaid refused to make eye contact with us, ignored our pleas for a reply to our question. She then decided that we can't have anymore shots, but you can carry on drinking your pints of lager. Surely if you've had enough of one, you've had enough of them all...? And isn't it illegal to continue serving someone if you think they've "had enough"It's a shame we were treated this way. The pub is in a fantastic location and I've been to many events there, but it's not the first time I've witnessed the managers bullish attitude. If you don't like people, then I don't think hospitality is for you. Will I give them the benefit of the doubt and return....? Hell no. I'd rather jump in the canal

Mehfil Indian Restaurant

Norwood Green, Ealing, <20£
27/08/2020: Avoid at all cost We booked a table for 8 pm 3 weeks ago and we have not been provided table until 8:40
05/08/2020: We normally visit Mehfil restaurant quite often, however on this occasion we wasn’t impressed. Firstly there were very few options on the menu only 3 veg and 3 non veg dishes to chose from for starters. Also noticed how all the Ordered the chicken tikka which only had 5 small pieces, for £9.00 which seems very overpriced. When bringing this to the waiters attention he gave a blunt reply saying ‘that’s the portion’.The rest of the food was nice however again all the prices were increased. Overall won’t be coming back for a long time. Wouldn’t recommend.

Angie's Little Food Shop

South Acton, Ealing
27/09/2020: My favourite café in London, if you’re ever in Chiswick looking out for brunch/ lunch or even just coffee and cake, I could not recommend it more highly. The food here is top notch, cooked and prepared on site by people who really seem to care; typically classic combinations, but done so well! Depending on your mood or your taste they do some stunning healthy and flavourful salads, which vary according to the season, or if you’re are feeling a bit naughtier / hungrier they do a handful of lovely ‘comfort food’ classics, such as corn fritters and buttermilk chicken. You can taste the quality in the ingredients too, for instance the goats cheese on the bruschetta is some of the best I have tried. Try and save some room for cake and coffee too, they are all amazing. If they have it available they do quite simply the best lemon meringue pie I’ve ever tasted! The staff are so friendly and attentive and seem to enjoy what they do, the water glasses are constantly replenished! Going back to the Lemon meringue pie, I am so grateful that on one occasion I phoned in advance to ask if they had it as they vary the menu fairly regularly, and they said that they would make one especially, going absolutely above and beyond! Word has clearly got around both sides of the Atlantic, as on one occasion, we even saw a Hollywood actor in here!
04/09/2020: A real gem in Chiswick for brunch and lunch. Beautifully made food using delicious ingredients. Amazing poached eggs, avocado, sourdough bread and maple bacon. Lovely friendly staff.

Northfield, Ealing
29/09/2020: We booked our table for 19.15 understanding the 22.00 covid-19 curfew should not be broken. An automatic hand sanitizer dispenser was available directly as you entered the restaurant and the masked staff remained distant as we were shown to our freshly laid and laundered table. As always the food was delicious with a few of the dishes we chose being "off menu" staff suggestions. If you visit I strongly recommend asking the staff for something a little different from the standard menu items (which in themselves are often different from those found at a standard Indian/Nepalese restaurant). We have to travel 45 minutes from our home in Hertfordshire in order to visit Lentils and we have been doing this for a few years now and from day one the food and friendly service has held it head and shoulders above other Indian/Nepalese restaurants. It's a gem of a restaurant and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy some fantastic food served by some of the friendliest staff you'll find.
28/09/2020: I first would like to say thank you to Rim for having us in the restaurant. I couldn’t find a better place to dine for my parents anniversary today. He was extremely friendly as always very welcoming. Secondly, I am warm-heartedly thankful to all the chef(s) for all the effort you have put into today’s food preparation. Our night wouldn’t be amazing and remarkable without your dishes. I hope you continue to prosper! We hope to see you soon :) A
