Very expensive, mediocre food at best, not like it once was.

This was our first visit to Pronto Italiano, but have been meaning to try for a long time as we’ve consistently heard good things! We were not disappointed, the food was fabulous, generous portions and all far superior to the usual chain ‘Italian’ restaurants. We all particularly enjoyed our starters and I need to go back as there were other things on the menu I’d like to try! The service was excellent, from very friendly staff, we really enjoyed our visit and will be back. My only slight negative was the temperature - it was cold and I did wear my coat, but that’s maybe as we sat upstairs and it was a cold/wet January evening!

Usually I would praise sea king however today I went in as usual to order my cod and chips. Then I forgot my curry sauce so asked if I could add that on. As I sat down I noticed the drinks fridge and wanted a Diet Coke. Took this from the fridge, walked up to the till to be greeted with “this your third time, so you want anything else, you’re paying by card?” I then replied “no and yes I’m paying by card” the lady then repeated twice what she said to me. I then said to her I won’t bother and she then decided to change her mind saying she’ll make it up to me. I asked for my chips and wanted to leave. I felt quite embarrassed as this was in a shop full of customers won’t be returning anytime soon.

Absolutely brilliant - when Boris and COVID put pay to our wedding reception, in stepped Danny and his team. Not only was the food super, nothing was too much trouble and Danny himself made sure we were made to feel special. I can’t praise these guys high enough - a massive thank you and we look forward to using you again.

A greasy-haired person, eventually, came over to serve me. Standing in front of me, rubbing his hand through his greasy hair. "No, thank you." I walked out.

Overall a beautiful restaurant/bar over looking the lake. The food could do with more seasoning in the food. Would come back for sure.

Absolutely disgusting food in every way, portions were tiny, some food was burnt some undercooked and all was very pricey, £15 for a burger that didn’t even come near to a macdonalds standard. Nearly everything looked and tasted like it had been microwaved..

Used to love going to the Kings Head and have been doing so since around 1966 in one or another of its guises. As it was a lovely day, I thought I would stop and have a beer in the garden. I have never seen a pub garden is such a terrible condition. Some of the tables couldn't be sat at as they are too rickety, fag buts everywhere, used paper green and yellow serviettes strewn around the garden, ash trays in the grass, used Lurpak cartons under every bench, some umbrellas in pieces others fallen over, bin overflowing and the garden empty on a sunny day! There's a real chance of children picking up splinters from the wooden benches or the damaged fences surrounding the garden. Such a shame the premises aren't well cared for anymore, I won't return!
