The Frog Pub & Restaurant, Deepcut in Surrey Heath

Decided to find a local pub we had never been to for a couple of drinks with a friend, we were both pleasantly surprised when we visited the frog for the first time, ample outdoor seating with heaters and inside a really nice atmosphere with excellent options for drinks. Although we didn't eat here on this occasion, we will on our next visit as the place was busy with many others enjoying food with family and friends.

Lovely looking clean and nicely decorated pub with chilled atmosphere , plenty of outside seating , on our visit the waitress was a bit stressed with a troublesome table sending back food and rearranging the furniture but coped with it really well . Didn’t have food this time but Will definitely return as it’s only a short drive from us .

Average quality. Not cheap. Time²: a Monday, so big (>25%! ) discount 😊

Frog, you've come a long way in the last few years. Well done! Keep it up and you'll be the go to place for miles around.

Lots of heated outdoor seating. Lots of beers, cider and ale etc on tap. Cosy wood/barn type style, nice location, recommended

The most beautiful mega atmosphere I have ever seen

Lovely food (apart from the chicken wings which I can only assume were cooked in a microwave 🤢), my husband and I both decided we’d have a burger, as on their website, and on a poster by the front door, it states every Wednesday any burger and fries is £10.95 all day. Upon paying we noticed we were being charged full price (17.95) so queried it with the waitress. She then told us that they aren’t doing that deal anymore, despite all the advertising for the deal.

Didn't have food, just a drink, came across this pub after taking a wrong turn. Will definitely return to have a meal as food look good.

We came this evening for my son’s 18th birthday, I booked a large table for 14 guests. Carys was so helpful via email when booking.. the food was delicious! Our waitress Samantha was excellent, so smiley and helpful. We all really enjoyed ourselves, lovely atmosphere! Really impressed with the burgers, such good value on the Wednesday burger offer. Thank you all for a fantastic evening :)

Went for lunch. Plenty of parking. Beautiful inside, good atmosphere. The eggs florentine was excellent, but the steak sandwich wasn't good, too dry, meat was tough and fatty. All the toasted bread was burnt for the sandwich and also for the camembert. The burnt flavour was unfortunately overwhelming. The service was very good. On the whole it was an okay experience but not what you'd expect given the relatively high prices.

On the 15th of September my brother had booked a table for 11 for a birthday lunch people on arrival there was a table for 9 so that had to be rectified we had to wait a while for a drinks waiter and call one in the end after ordering the food it arrived I had the 🦐 and roast beef the prawns were lovely and well presented when the beef arrived the plait was bland and drab in colour the veg was unexciting the rest potatoes dry no crispness the pink beef as advised was well well done and chewy the only good food on the plait was the Yorkshire pudding my brother' had the 1/2 roast chicken on asking the waiter were it was it was hiding under the Yorkshire pudding and over cooked all plaits were lacking in gravey had to ask for more wich was wishy-washy I would give the main course 1out of 10 the restraint was lovely I my self am a 76 year old retired head chef with 30 years experience working with the British army in the UK and Europe allowance with the American army in bosina for a year as a civilian on contact the rest of the family and friends were in the same mind with the ambulance of the pub restaurant the food was alert down if I was the head chef I would go and hide in shame. disappointing as I'd eaten here before and had a great experience, so I brought more people with me. The food times were all over the place. Three people out of six had finished their food before the last order came.. all roasts.. on Sunday.. so even more pathetic... staff and service lukewarm at best. They clearly weren't playing with the A or B teams that day... The beer lines hadn't even slightly been properly cleaned, and my beer stank of line cleaner a good three inches from your nose... they acted like I was asking for a kidney when I asked for a different drink... All in all quite rubbish and not al all attempted to give them a second chance. This sentiment was echoed by all six in our group. Avoid. Major let-down.

Nice place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff

No cash accepted. Unless the systems go down then suddenly they can somehow accept it. Big car park with some electric car chargers in some of the bays. Beautiful decor inside. Really nice ambience. Young, friendly and efficient servers took and delivered our orders. The service for our table of eight was exemplary. A good selection of delicious badger ales are available for any CAMRA enthusiasts. The food was well presented and pretty good. Three of the party opted for lamb medallions . Very tasty but tough, was the verdict. The pizza base was a little underdone. My sirloin steak was ok. Medium rare as requested. The cheese board was well presented and really enjoyable. The coffee/mini puddings offer great value.

It is more expensive generally, I have had the burger and chips was OK but chips were like the frozen ones from supermarket. Price 2 courses and 2 drinks

Great meal in a lovely setting.

Very welcoming on a hot sunny day. Very quick service. Booking advisable to avoid disappointment as very popular.

6.45 table. My daughter in law vegetarian one dish available when it arrived the spinach salad was limp dry hanging out vegetable salad was tasteless sent it back they did another one. My son his birthday which I asked you to do something on plate BUT YOU never did. Had chicken burger his wife is MD for chain of Spanish tapas restaurants she said it was disgusting a child's portion small shrivelled up burnt grey piece chicken was sent back for a burger. I had fish and chips tiny piece fish about 3 inches long 9 chips £17.50. my Grandson had the burger said was nice but again only few chips on plate £20. My wine was £11 a glass rip off and as the sun shone through glass as waitress handed to me the glass was filthy. My son birthday rubbish evening my treat they came from the surrey hills for a miserable embarrassing meal. Lovely sunny evening so of course busy but like headless chickens was uncontrollable chaos.

Love going to the Frog, have never been disappointed.

Another thumbs down for the roast dinners and that it seems like the food quality has generally declined particularly with anything fully prepared on-site. Staff were good and the place itself is great and family-friendly.

The roast dinners were dry the gravy was watery the chicken burger was dry I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Nice place ,great decor and most importantly great food

We came for second visit, as it was my birthday, last year came for same event. I ordered the half roast chicken dinner and most people in party of 9 had roast dinners. Unfortunately the food came, I ordered cauliflower cheese extra, which came eventually which was piping hot but the food on my plate, especially roast potatoes were near cold, chicken was ok, but we all felt could have had more gravy but not a big issue, we did mention potatoes were cold and asked if I wanted them replaced, I declined as I had eaten half my meal, it was ok but felt could do better. Staff are friendly and atmosphere lovely, so assuming it was just a one off, we also missed the No Cash on website, but that’s our fault missing it, all round we will try again soon and lovely looking place, lots of options to sit, inside and out.

Have been here SO many times, it's lovely. The staff are friendly and attentive, food is fabulous and prices are reasonable. Lovely places to sit in any weather. Highly recommend!

One of the only pubs in the area with a decent selection of beers beyond the standard offering. Beautiful setting too and good service.

We booked a birthday breakfast for 34 people at The Frog on Sunday and it was all fantastic! From the communication on the booking process to the delivery of 34 hot steaming breakfasts AND 34 different types of coffees they scored 10/10. On top of that it was really tasty and all delivered within 30 minutes which was so impressive! Well done to the team !

Lovely environment. Poor food. Toasted chicken club sandwich not cooked with fatty bacon. We sent it back and the next one came out with hardly any chicken and some weird fatty jelly, which we couldn’t work out what it was from.. the bacon or the mayo!? Good pub if you’re just going for a drink.

Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor of something in my style. Service very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the food very much. The restaurant is divided into zones where you can eat peacefully, in front of the entrance there is a bar and part where you can drink coffee with a friend and sit outside on warm days. Very well thought out

The building is modern and clean, decorated in a well executed nostalgic style. The staff were all polite and enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy working there. The food was very nice and competitively priced, with the stand-out item being the chocolate cake in the bar menu (we ate our main meal in the restaurant, but had coffee and cake in the bar). There's plenty of parking in good sized spaces and an appealing outside dining and relaxing space. In all, an excellent experience that we plan to repeat.

Love this pub although their vegan menu is very limited. The atmosphere and staff totally epic.

Sadly not a great experience! Roast had no Yorkshire pudding but nothing to replace it was offered. Alot of items missing from the menu. Had to wait a very long time to be served and waiting for drinks. When we where there at least 20 covers sat and then walked out due to the lack of menu. The girls serving us were very apologetic. Would be a really lovely place to sit and have drinks in the summer.

Lovely new pub on the Mindenhurst estate. Fantastic outside seating area. Great burgers.

Really pretty venue and the menu choices were great. Coffee was very good. However it was all kind of spoilt by the terrible service. Lots of staff on, lots of very young staff walking around chatting not doing very much. Had to ask for water 6+ times. The party enjoyed their food mostly. Mine came cold and over sauced. I did try and get it sorted but after 10 plus minutes of not being able to get attention just made do. Could be fantastic place, perhaps just an off day but sadly service ruined our experience

Love this place, staff are friendly. Personally love the selection of beers. Would be a five star but just think they are a little overpriced in general for what it is. Other than that it's big thumbs up from me.

Been here twice. First visit the food was 5*, but unfortunately on the second visit it was only 3*. I will go there again for a final decision on continued food patronage. Service and setting are lovely.

Really lovely new pub on a new development. The interior is really nice, really clean, staff are happy and efficient. The food was really good too, nicely cooked. A nice, relaxed, and friendly pub/restaurant for all ages. Highly recommend visiting this pub, you won't be disappointed. A++++++

The roast beef both portions got sent back as it was full of sinued fat but Beth and Sam were exceptional. Your mission is to enrich communities and make people's days well I have to say due to your staff we will be regulars. Beth and Sam are unbelievable in terms of service friendliness, attentiveness, humour and just being amazing people. They are a credit to you and your chain. I cant give them both enough praise. Absolutely love it here even when the food let us down.

Fantastic pub: great food, good setting, friendly staff

As a local resident living a stones throw away, it’s nice for a drink outside in the sun but that’s as far as it goes. Also dog friendly which is a big plus, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, but I give up with the food. Unfortunately every meal I’ve had here is really mediocre, eaten here 5 times now over the last 6 months and not one meal has been good to be honest just really really basic food you’d expect from much cheaper pubs. It’s such a shame the kitchen cannot improve as it would be perfect. Spoken to neighbours regarding the pub and everyone has the same view, just such a shame as it has so much potential. Please sort it out!

Arrived on a busy Sunday ... everything ran smoothly. Staff were chilled and friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant. I will definitely visit again !

I like this place very much, but even though the closing time was written as 11:00 in the evening, it was closed at 10:00 this evening.

The drinks were seized quickly and the food was really good quality. Great atmosphere and would love to revisit in the summer to be able to enjoy the outdoor space.

The food was delicious. All staff we encountered were helpful and polite, in particular our server, Gemma, who was incredibly attentive and great with our kids.

Came here after a dog walk with the family. Had the Camembert shared starter with my husband. Had no apple salad with it and only one piece of sourdough bread between two of us which had been cut into slices and put in a jug to obviously look like more. We were given eight small crackers which weren’t on the menu which I’m assuming are either cheaper for them to give to customers or they had run out of bread. The shared starter cost just over £15. Although it ok, it was very overpriced.

Nice pub situation next to a picturesque pond neighbouring a quick sizable kids play ground. The sort of place you go to to take a moment and sepnd time with family. Vegan options available and were tasty.

Staff were friendly and attentive.

I have only been for drinks, £6.30 for a pint, which I found very expensive compared to other local places to drink.

Fantastic service and food. We came in for a meal with some friends to celebrate our getting married that day. We were treated extremely well and made our special even better. The food was outstanding too.

Excellent value and friendly service

Went once before. Food was dire. Tried it again,food was more expensive and lower quality than the cafe up the road that charges less than half the price for a burger and chips. Cheap frozen rubbish. Chicken burger buns tasted frozen and the chicken was half the size of the bun,essentially a chicken nugget in a roll for £17.99 an absolute rip off. It's a nice place and location but if they don't change the menu and upgrade the quality of the food,this place will be gone in a few years.

Fran looked after me and my friends and was very attentive and caring to our needs, she had great recommendations and was very helpful throughout. A special thank you to her :)

As per other reviews - this place does not accept cash. WAKE UP!! Won't ever be going back. Doesn't look like they care about the bad food reviews either - no response from the owners/managers. Says it all.

Walked in - they are cashless. Walked out. Won't be going back. What a bunch of See You Next Tuesdays.

Everyone is just amazing. Especially Carys. Her customer service is outstanding. Jude (hey Jude) is also a little super star. The manager Aiden is also an excellent leader of his team. We always have a wonderful time here - great atmosphere and ambience always.

Impressed with the service, was trying it again with visiting parents from abroad but as a local resident had avoided coming here for about 18months due bad experience previously and subsequent following of review it had been stuggling to turn itself around but we wanted to give it another try to support local business...Tilly was our server and she was very good, we were impressed...she is a keeper.

This is such a nice pub, but the terrible service and the terrible manager make it painful to even get a drink.wouldnt eat here, dont have the patience.

Bad service took 30 for drinks and over an hour for starters gutted as I love the look of the place

Friendly staff but was let down by the awful food which is massively overpriced. Son ordered a toastie for just under £8 and it was pitiful, thin bread, barely and fillings and not even cut straight. Chips were fried to a crunch and the wraps were rubbery and tasteless. A complete waste of money.

One of my favourite go to spots after taking the dog out along one of Surreys' finest canal side walks, always great value for money , with a lovely ambience , dog friendly .. Cosy and warm during winter , open and sunny during Summer a fab all rounder ....

On arrival, had to wait to find staff member then shown a seat. Advised how busy the Frog had been and how short staffed they currently were, not a great start. Advised no roasts were available. Ordered drinks and waited 20 mins. Still hadn't been asked to order or received drinks. On looking around with dirty plates on tables and on two members of staff neither looking pleased to be there we decided to leave. Advised a female member of your staff if our intention to depart, nothing said in return but as we walked away ( still within earshot) could here her advise another staff member that at least she eased the workload !

Limited choice of food - mostly flatbread + toppings type. Nice log fire in lounge area

Sam B and Casey were absolutely wonderful! Attention to detail, and working hard!! Clear both girls have amazing knowledge and were doing all sections. Pork Belly was fantastic - worth the special!

First visit to the pub, liked the building, setting, food/drinks offering and it had a nice atmosphere. Bar staff friendly and efficient. Only slight criticism would be cleanliness - our table wasn’t wiped down at all well, and left glasses and plates on a few tables didn’t give a great impression and suggested stretched staff or lack of attention to detail
