The best restaurants serving Default food in Forest Hill and Holton South Oxfordshire South East

My friend and I went for afternoon tea for her birthday as we live relatively local but not been there before. It was so delightful and everything was delicious. Lovely sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, cakes and fabulous scones. There was so much choice and a lot to get through and needless to say we were beaten. We were offered little boxes to take the uneaten goodies home. The table was laid beautifully and everything was perfect and made us feel special. My only advice is to pre-book as there are only 3 tables inside plus it will give the proprietor a chance to prepare for you.

Popped in without a reservation but they still manged to find a space for us. Tasty food in good size portions and extremely good service. Highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant. Good ambiance, helpful, courteous staff and excellent food. I would happily have eaten anything on the menu. The belly pork was delicious, complimented by sweet potatoes, red cabbage purée (unusual but perfect with the pork) and a delicious coleslaw, perfectly balanced. Desserts were also excellent, thank you we shall be back to sample Sunday lunch

Visited a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely, went back Saturday with friends and it was disappointing food not the best and one dessert didn’t arrive because the person who knows how to make it had stepped out ???

Our absolute favourite pub with the most incredible food, service and atmosphere. The team here make you feel totally relaxed and at home (even with a very small child in tow). Nothing is too much effort and the food really speaks for itself. It's seasonal, incredible tasty and looks impeccable, without feeling stuffy and overly 'chef-y'. We really couldn't recommend it enough and have tried it at almost every sitting going and it never disappoints. Consistently blows us away and makes us want to book again, our go to spot!

Visited here yesterday evening with my family to celebrate my birthday. I had such a lovely time, the pub interior is absolutely beautiful, perfect atmosphere, the food was amazing and the service was so lovely and friendly. Absolutely wonderful place, I could not recommend it enough!

Popped in after a long dog walker, advertised as 7 days a week. Please check online as this is not true.

Little did I know as we stopped on the A1 north for a burger king, we would travel back in time to a 1970s motorway services. Queuing for the toilets out the door, depressing decor, and all a slightly grubby feel. Loved it - 5 stars
