The best restaurants serving Default food in Ardingly and Balcombe Mid Sussex South East

I’ve visited this pub a number of times and since it’s refurb it looks much better. However, like many hospitality venues they are struggling for staff. We have called in on 2 occasions to see a sign up at the bar saying kitchen closed due to staff shortage. That said, when you can get food it’s always good quality pub food!

I’m new to the area and gave this costa a go —so glad I did! The queue was quite long when I joined, but Farha, who was the only one working, was super speedy and kept everything moving smoothly. Honestly, she’s a star. Super friendly and made the whole experience. She even talked me into getting some cake (despite my diet!), and I’ve gotta say, she was right—the cake was amazing! Sure, the prices are a bit on the high side (£4.40 for a coffee), but with such great service, I can’t complain. Thanks, Farha! I’ll definitely be back.

The young ladies at Greggs were friendly , efficient and informative , Sausage rolls good and prices reasonable.

The catering at Wakehurst is shameful. Take today’s visit. Before 12 there was no soup. There were a few sandwiches made with white processed bread and little choice. Apparently these are delivered every couple of days. We ended up with a scone each which wasn’t fully defrosted and still hard. That relieved us of £4 each. They didn’t even have saucers for the coffee because they said they had nobody to load the dishwasher. I know it’s a concession but both parties should be ashamed to serve such rubbish.

Have used this Burger King three times and each time they have got my order wrong and missed items. This time I checked and went back as a third of my order was missing. I asked a lady who was working 28th March 24 approximately 19.00. No apology and very rude. She said the reason items were missing was because a new person had packed it. I asked what difference that made. She totally blanked me then packed the rest of my order smashed it down on the counter and walked off. She was so lucky I had my youngest daughter with me otherwise I would have not left it there. When I got to the car the food they had given me was dry, luke warm and uneadable. I wanted to go back but my wife told me to leave it. Which I did. I use a Burger King locally, the staff are friendly, helpful and the food is spot on. No longer angry just disappointed and £38 out of pocket.
