What a gorgeous Sunday roast! From the moment we walked in, the cosy atmosphere made us feel at home. Paul was super friendly and cheerful. A decent Sunday roast in a nice pub was exactly what was needed en route home from my hen weekend! I went for the beef roast, and it was absolutely divine - crispy and fluffy roast potatoes, and the yorkshire pudding was delicious! The vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the cauliflower cheese was yummy. I topped it all off with the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and wow, what a treat! A fantastic Sunday roast experience in a friendly pub setting and now going home feeling full and happy.

Friday night good crowd in live music from 9 o'clock, cask ales and range of lagers. I've never had food there but what I've seen looks good, a customer said to me the Sunday dinner is really good and at £12 good value.

Rude staff, sat at the bar and was asked if I wanted a another drink, I politely declined and was told to “get out” by a member of staff, after he escorted us out and shouted that it “wasn’t a hostel” he slammed the door in our faces, never coming back

Great staff friendly and helpful and funny. Food came on time and all the starters and mains were spot-on. Great choice of beer and wine and the Guinness was excellent.

This was a good go to cafe with good straight forward food, pleasant staff. Something has changed, the menu has changed, seemed more fancy. Salad with fined chopped lettuce, sweetcorn and coleslaw on everything, just didn’t seem as nice. Maybe it has changed hands!

Had the 'Two for £10' offer. Mojito and Dacquari served in plain tumblers, a straw, ice and no other decoration. Below average taste and took a while to arrive. Pornstar Martini wasn't part of the offer and was a very small glass and had to ask for shot of prosecco as the bartender said she forgot. It wasn't even that busy!

Beer tasted a bit off and the atmosphere was depressing which is a shame because on the outside it looks like a nice pub.

This place has been taken over and its prices are exorbitant to say the least particularly in relation to portion size and overall quality. Our bill was over £100 and we didn’t even have starters. A garlic bread to share came that was three round pieces (like off a baguette from tesco) which we had to share round- we thought it would be a round pizza style which is what you usually get and is far more generous. I would say one tapas dish was ok but even that was overpriced for what it was - it was £8 for small chicken breast with one rasher of bacon wrapped round in blue cheese sauce. This commercially would cost about £1.50 to make! The other food was bland and lacking in quality, but if you’re going to serve this level then at least significantly lower your prices. Otherwise I am afraid I don’t think this place will survive. On a side note of relevance my partner heard two chaps outside criticising the price of the pints, which have apparently gone about by a pound which we were not aware of. Your choice but I would avoid.

I held my 70th birthday party/disco/buffet here on Feb. 22nd 2020 and have to say we were extremely impressed, not only with the new décor, since we remembered it as "The Barnhouse", but also with the entire presentation of venue and efficient staff. The choice of both hot and cold food which we had arranged beforehand was also extremely good and exceeded our expectations. We had some lovely comments from our guests regarding the high standard of food. Well done to you all....it was absolutely brilliant and I had a night to remember always !....I highly recommend you.

I am trying to eat more healthily. I asked in this bakers if they did granary bread. Apparently they did not. I was, directed to what I believed to be a, wholemeal loaf. Got home and realised it was, a white loaf which was very tasty but not the one I wanted. It is a good baker's doing, a, range of breads, cakes, pies and even some pre prepared salads. Pleasant staff.
