The best restaurants serving Default food in Lyth Valley South Lakeland North West

We chose the Pub from our Holiday Home visitors book in nearby Crook. An excellent choice we made, a warm welcome from the staff, in particular the lovely young waitress with a slight Liverpudlian accent and a Reds fan, she showed great skill in dealing with her customers. Very tasty food in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

Visited as group of 9 for my wife’s 60th. The menu, service, drinks options and overall experience were first class. Will visit again.

What a wonderful find for us. Walked into the pub to find a roaring fire and very friendly staff. An old pub with a beautiful dining room extension also with sofas and log fire. The food was exceptional. I loved the home made steak and mushroom pie with the best pastry in a long time. Definitely worth trying.

Delicious Sunday lunch, great portions and very tasty. Friendly, welcoming staff, who provided a quick service. An all round lovely experience, thank you!

We had booked 5 rooms through Booking.com well in advance and when we arrived at 4pm we were told that our booking had been cancelled (Booking.com had taken our money the previous day). This eventually got sorted by Booking .com and we found good alternative accommodation for the night but the way we were treated by staff at the Derby Arms was awful.

Hotel very comfortable but no sockets in bathroom for charging your toothbrush. They kindly gave us an adapter to use while we were there. Nowhere to walk our dog nearby. Had to drive to Grange over Sands.
