The best restaurants serving Default food in Mellor Ribble Valley North West

We visited on a Sunday for breakfast we chose the farmers. Wrong choice it was poor Not what we expected. Scrambled egg mixed with a couple of spinach leaves and potatoes with hardly any tiny bits of meat. Could not taste any cheese and very bland. Some of the potatoes were only just aired. Beens were cheap. Service was good

I have been for food twice in recent times and both times have been amazing ! We had been well looked after both times. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will be returning for sure

We booked a table for 9 for a family lunch to celebrate my Dad’s life as he wanted us to do this instead of a formal funeral.We were all driving from different areas so the location suited everyone. Peter the Manager kindly suggested we use the room just off the main dining area which was perfect. There was a very comprehensive choice of food options which ranged from A La Carte to sandwiches. Perfect if you’ve no idea how hungry people will be!The Cosy Lunch set menus are very good value.Everyone enjoyed their meal ,the salmon being particularly popular. The service was extremely efficient yet unobtrusive.I felt everything was being done at our pace which is often difficult to achieve. Thankyou Peter and staff you were great!

After noon tea ... absolutely disgusted with the lack of attention to customer service and courtesy.Booked our table for 4 people .Wasn't ready when we arrived ..not offered any chance of a drink .Taken to sit at a table only big enough for two people but had to fit all four of us . afternoon tea was inedible as jam pots and marmalade pots had already been opened and used else where with evidence of half filled pots mixed with butter from a knife (presumably) and the cream for the scones had already been used with scoops in it from a used spoon ..There was not enough sandwiches and cakes for two people never mind four ..... On requesting a word with the manager we were told this was not possible as there wasn't a manager on site ..... Refusing to believe this we. Insisted someone came to us .... Eventually we showed the second in charge (presumably again).he looked and disappeared never to be seen again ,!! Needless to say we didn't eat any of the sandwiches as they looked liked they had been passed from what was left over and we also did not Pay ......Advising the staff that we would be adding this to trip advisor and also afew. Other people behind us in the place ......This also needs reporting to the local health and hygiene dept one of my friends will also be adding to this with photos ... ...

We came to the traders on Saturday evening for food and drinks as a family and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked through the door to leaving late on, the service was second to none! A special mention to Chelsea and Kate who looked after us throughout and was very efficient, even though they were swamped (probably needed more staff if we was to be super critical) both polite, informative and very cheerful. The food was amazing, as a table we had chicken curry, gormet burgers, stroganoff, gammon and pizzas. All cooked beautifully and well presented! Thanks for a wonderful evening, we are looking forward to coming back.

Lovely pub with comfortable rooms. Reasonable price. Super friendly staff and air to it. Would return if I need to stay in the area again.
