The best restaurants serving Default food in Stranton Hartlepool North East

Went to this place recently for a private party. No draft alcohol of any kind available, was told "Only bottles or cocktails", shocking won't be going again.

1st thought! A little expensive. 2nd thought! A bit overpriced 3rd thought WOW that looks good 4th thought OMG tastes bloody amazing. The chips are outstanding, garlic oil omg amazing. 5th thought, I appologise, worth every penny and the taste is mind blowing! Absolutely can not fault anything whatsoever 🙏🙏🙏

Was amazing atmosphere & enjoyed our night

Would not recommend especially if you have an allergy. Portion sizes small, language barriers as they do not speak good English. When they get your order wrong they do not take any responsibility. Service VERY poor and slow and all the owners can say is ... we only have one chef - go figure!!! Furthermore, they can not be relied upon for take away because if they have tables booked in the restaurant they can't cope so they stop taking orders. The food is not that good when considering all the negatives associated with Bann Thai hence why I won't be back and would not recommend so other people are left disappointed.

Sitting in here right now having just enjoyed a fantastic breakfast on a Sunday morning, Vegan options too. Lovely spot on the marina and peaceful. Thoroughly recommend. 🤗

Beers are fabulous and also great selection.always quick to get served as never usually many in. Decor is abit run down and the atmosphere is pretty poor. Little bit of music and a lick of paint would go a long way in this place.Nice and quiet though if you want to keep away from the usual idiots roaming hartlepool in the cheap pubs

Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Grace's this evening. Couldn't fault the service or the food in any way......Starters of Belly Pork/black pudding; Squid rings; Parmo bites, Mains of Fillet steak; Sea bass; Brisket Yorkshire wraps (perfect gravy and veg cooked to perfection). Very comfortable seating and table setting. Would have given 5 stars for atmosphere, except there was only us in there! Amazing for a Saturday evening! Enjoyed our own company regardless, but would highly recommend this 'gem' to anyone. Faultless!

We used to come here a lot over the years every time we visited Hartlepool. However since it has been taken over we had a really bad experience. The manager served an alcoholic cocktail to an 8 year old child and then denied it, we gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he may have thought it was mocktail. Two chicken dishes arrived on the table which looked inedible as you could clearly see veins, and skin still left on the plate, and the cream sauce had all curdled on the plate as though it had been standing under the lamps for a long time. I won’t be coming back again, it’s a shame the old manager left as that’s the last time I’ve heard it’s been run properly

Wonderful, amazing food and service. Went for a special birthday with 18 people. Couldn’t fault. Would highly recommend

Been here several times with both family and workmates. Everyone everytime has had a fantastic meal. Food has fantastic flavour and taste, service is excellent, prices are incredible. Would recommend to anyone.

Our go to place is no longer. We didn’t realise the restaurant had changed ownership until I read the card on the table . The mature service staff weren’t there and the food was nowhere near as good as it used to be. We even had to complain about my wife’s main course as it was very salty and visibly watery. All we got was “sorry about that “ from the waitress. The music was very depressing. It is such a shame as we live on the marina and tell people to dine there. We have got to return as we have vouchers to spend now 🙈

Didn't know it was back open,it was like it never closed. Perfect hosting and the food was spot on. Price was good to. Top spot.
