The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Wickford Castledon Basildon East of England

I have been going to the Lon Wah for more than 40 years and have always had a great experience, but my most recent takeaway was very disappointing indeed. I went for the Spicy Shreeded Beef and it as very bland with not much sauce. Alongside I chose chicken with pineapple and again that was tasteless and devoid of any real flavour. The portion size is quite small compared to other take aways, and yet they charge quite alot for their dishes. Maybe I chose the wrong things from the menu, but I was expecting alot better.

First time I’ve ordered from here as my other Chinese takeaway was close and unfortunately probably will be the last, I don’t like giving bad reviews, but I can honestly say it was the most flavourless plate of Chinese food I’ve had in a long while, Need to up your game and add some flavour

Tried here last night for the first time in ages. Everything was tasteless and so so salty! Won’t be returning.
