Having been regular visitors pre Lockdown the five of us got together at the Forum on Friday evening for what proved to be a very enjoyable evening. The food was as we remembered it EXCELLENT. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff were able to make you feel that you were the only table in the room. whoever is responsible for their training and supervision has our deepest gratitude. will we come again... you bet. Visiting during covid was a pleasant experience, lots of space between tables, food was excellent and good value for money

I have tried a lot of Chinese takeaways & this has to be one of the best. Very flavoursome & tasty. Fantastic food, everything we had ordered was just gorgeous

This place is amazing. I rang and asked what fresh vegetables they had and the owner made up a special dish for me. They use very little or no MSG so the food is naturally tasty. Superb tasty fresh Chinese food. I cannot recommend highly enough and great value for money.

We had a great meal in the evening on 25th December, as expected it was more quiet and relaxed than on normal days. Waitress Yamini was super helpful and kind, she carried our baby and played with her so we could enjoy our food. Kitchen staff were very friendly and played with her, as well as being highly proficient with their culinary skills. Recommended for sure 👍🏽

Delicious Chinese takeaway, maybe the best Chinese cuisine ive ever had. They don’t do delivery so you need to call up then go collect. Food is cooked fresh to order. I can recommend crispy chilli beef, spring rolls (which are massive), Singapore style rice noodles and veggie sweet and sour chicken.

First and last time trying this Chinese unfortunately, lady was lovely on the phone and service was nice but the food was just so bland. Very wet soggy bland noodles that lacked even basic seasoning. Pork was fatty and chewy. Chicken balls were so over battered to hide the small pieces of chicken instead so were very greasy, soggy and raw by the chicken due to so much batter. (Chicken wasn’t raw the batter was)

Sometimes you can be put off by multiple types of food at chains but The BT Chelmsford is great. Jay and Daisy are exceptional at service and making you feel welcome and the food is very authentic and doesn't have that mass produced feel that some of the other chains do Watching it being prepared is great to see and the chefs take their time to get the flavours right Keep it up guys!!

We booked this restaurant for our family Christmas Eve dinner, because we have had good experiences here for the last couple of years and other visits. Unfortunately this time wasn't so good and I understand that Christmas Eve was going to be busy, but if you go out to a restaurant you want a nice relaxed environment, with good service and good hot food, that wasn't the case. The restaurant really couldn't keep up with the demand of take aways and the diners eating in, at one point I heard a member of staff tell a customer that it was a two hour wait for takeaway!! Our starters arrived barely warm an hour after ordering it, couldn't send back because the staff just were whizzing about all over the place and I will add with a smile on their faces. Then the we wanted some more of the starters but the member of staff suggested the duck next, they weren't too happy when we confirmed we wanted more of the starters but warmer. Starters arrived slightly warmer and then the duck another 30 mins later again cold which wasn't helped by the takeaway customers queuing from the restaurant counter to the outside with the door open. When I asked a member of staff to try and control the queue and keep the door shut it took another 20 mins to action. When the mains arrived this was barely warm again, we finished our meal really disappointed and when mentioned to the older lady she just said we stopped the online ordering and a sorry that really didn't seem sincere. So not sure if this is anything to do with the meal but one of our party now has woken up through the night Vomiting and is very poorly while I'm writing this. This really wasn't a good experience and ruined our evening which had become a custom. The lovely ladies serving were up against it and a credit to your restaurant, I think better planning next year.

Came here with some friends- apart from an initial mix up when someone had cancelled our booking- after a little wait this was sorted out and the manager was very apologetic. The food was hot and delicious. The service was efficient and polite. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely go again.
