China Palace in Tendring

First and last time trying this Chinese unfortunately, lady was lovely on the phone and service was nice but the food was just so bland. Very wet soggy bland noodles that lacked even basic seasoning. Pork was fatty and chewy. Chicken balls were so over battered to hide the small pieces of chicken instead so were very greasy, soggy and raw by the chicken due to so much batter. (Chicken wasn’t raw the batter was)

Sadly, this takeaway has gone downhill, I wouldn't recommend it anymore. Again, they have forgotten items for the order, and now the quality has diminished too! They did offer to fulfil the order. However, the distance I need to travel outweighs their kind offer. If you need to travel, I'd suggest the Peking Palace, Hawich Road. Superior in every way.

The duck rolls are pretty good, had chowmein then went on 5 fair rides, felt pretty ill. Some funny geeza behind the counter with a beard on fridays and saturdays. Wasnt very kind to me.

Food is lovely but service is absolutely terrible! I walked in, 2 members of staff were doing nothing. I started to give my order, as I was half way through the staff member answered the phone and was taking another order and disregarded me. The other member of staff just stood there. Very rude so walked out and left! Terrible customer service!

Another Tax dodging Chinese Takeaway which only accepts cash. Took a look around the back, filthy & propped up with cardboard.

Best Chinese I've had in ages, friendly staff and very professional. Triple checked our order, also food was well cooked and piping hot, even when we'd got home 👍

Had pancake rolls best I've had in a long time

What a shame, we recently moved to Thorrington and have used CP 3 times previously and had lovely takeaways, but last night they failed dismissaly. The rice was all clumped together, singapore noodles also stodgy and dry as too was the chicken chow mein, pancake roll extremely greasy, Not sure weather or not to try it again :>(

The China Palace is located in a small town, the staffs are very friendly, the foods are quite delicious. So highly recommended.

This is our go to Chinese! We love it! Really clean and fresh with great flavours, good portions and various options. All this at reasonable prices. Worth the drive.

get a king prawn chalmain from here everytime. never fails to please me 10/10

I love the now Dishes that these guys have added on the standard menu like the Ha Kauw, pork seuw mai and especially the smocked chicken!!

Food from here is fantastic, we always come back for more.

Have had better in diff parts of the world, but by far best I've had in uk. Shame the prices have jumped recently, as started to make me try elsewhere

Terrible service we have now ordered two take aways from this establishment both have been missing things. Tonight was a classic ordered duck got home no duck and we live in Brightlingsea . All the other food was getting cold as we had to drive back. We had to argue for a refund due to there mistake total joke. Had to argue with owner to get a solution he was difficult to deal with. SHAME

Family Chinese, forgot to order ahead of time but staff were more than happy to help, the food was nice and hot even after the 10-15 minutes drive, was a nice meal and would happily order from here again, however I would call before next time just to save a wait

Chefs special curry and egg fried rice was lovely. Will be back soon

I believe this has been taken over we were very impressed with the take away very hot and very fresh really enjoyed it and would strongly recommend it

Great quality food, always service with a smile, set in a lovely village. They don't deliver. The only criticism is that it's is sometimes difficult to get through on the phone during their peak times.

This is our Chinese takeaway of choice! The food is really excellent. Pork chow mein, Singapore noodles, kung po chicken all lovely. The piece de resistance is X9C the salt and pepper chicken! Absolutely worth a visit.

Hoy el palacio ofertas ordenados y costillas (con salsa es una delicia) y fue increíble. Personal de servicio brillante, como la comida. Sólo cambiaron a la zona y ya quedamos agradablemente sorprendidos por la comida. El único inconveniente era porque decían para aparcar fuera de alguien, pero no fue así, líneas de color amarillo muy confundido? En general, no entrega, pero muy la pena pitstop!

Excelente para llevar chino, comida deliciosa, siempre listo a tiempo y el personal siempre era agradable. Buenas porciones de tamaño para cada plato y llena con comida, en vez de salsa. Altamente recomendado!

Have been going here for years. Pleasant staff and food always excellent and ready to be picked up on time.

The food is quite good! But on 3 separate occasions we have got home and the order is wrong! We live 15/20mins away! They offer no refund and even try to say that we ordered wrong when we did not! All they wld do is change it! Fair enough if we didn't live that far but all of our other food is cold by then! Definitive wld not recommend anymore 😠
