Excellent Christmas Lunch. Very busy but students coped admirably and the whole experience was exceptional. The food was very well presented and tasted devine. Stephanie served us today and was very polite, efficient and made us feel very welcome.

Found the young man waiting tables while not rude left a lot to be desired while interacting with customers. Spent longer talking to the counter staff than checking your customers were okay. I've been coming here for years, this is the first time I feelt compelled to comment on line

Staff were friendly which is why it is not 1 star. Lunch menu - 2 courses for approx £14 sounds reasonable value - decent portion size but the food was really poor. Both had “buttermilk” chicken goujons - frozen and bland. I had fish and chips - again frozen and the fish was watery - crinkle cut frozen chips. My wife had steak pie and nearly broke a tooth on a Brussel sprout. Table was rickety and decor somewhat outdated. Would not return or recommend - sorry
