What a fantastic wee find! Great place to chill out and the friendliest, most helpful staff in Glasgow! They couldn't do enough. Lovely food and a fantastic lentil soup. Shame I don't live in Glasgow as I'd pop in here every day.

We chose this cafe for a birthday lunch for my mother in law. The food was fantastic, the decor adorable, the staff super friendly. They do themed afternoon teas. We would highly recommend visiting this cafe, you will not be disappointed. Oh and they are dog friendly

Cute hotel located in a historic castle. It’s a bit outside of the city center in a quiet neighborhood but makes for a peaceful stay. My friend and I shared a suite and it was quite large. The bathrooms were also quite luxurious and there’s a tub as well as shower. They have free breakfast if you book directly with them, but since we booked it through the Capital One portal, we didn’t have that. The keys themselves are physical keys (not keycards). The front desk is nice and even though there wasn’t a water bottle filling station, they filled them up for us. They were able to hold onto our baggage after we checked out while we explored the area.

We ate here last night. After having nearly 2 years of indifferent, overpriced, deliveries from other restaurants, it was a pleasure to dine here at Guido's! Can't remember when last had such a perfectly cooked fish tea! ( Probably last time we were here pro-covid!) Batter was everything s good batter should be - golden, crisp and full of flavout! Served with lovely chips, tea and a buttered roll. Great service, great food and spotlessly clean.

Great venue and good selection of alcohol free beers for the driver.

My husband and I were really looking forward to our first visit to The McMillan Bar + Chop House in Glasgow. It was our “date night” and those being fairly rare, my husband booked in advance and asked to be seated in the restaurant. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table - second booth in, about eight feet from the nearest bar high table. (So, decidedly not in the restaurant area.) Our hostess was cheery and gave us the wrong set menu for Sunday Roasts so we shared one of the Set Menus between us (not a big deal). I chose the Ribs and the Flank Steak, while my husband chose the Arancini and the Flank Steak. The Arancini was LOVELY. I would go back just for this starter - and I only had a taste! However, the ribs were…probably the worst ribs I’ve ever tasted. Tough, tough, tough - boiled too long or something. I took two bites of different ribs and pushed the plate away. No one came to check but when the plates were cleared, we were asked and I told the truth: the ribs were not good. The waiter came back a few minutes later to say he had taken it off our bill as I didn’t enjoy the dish, which was very kind of him. When our Flank Steaks arrived - well, the two dishes were COMPLETELY different shapes and thicknesses, despite being the same dish. (I don’t really get that, as the weight is the same and I thought restaurants try to make dishes look uniform.) We both ordered medium/well. There was no pink line in either of them - they were well done. Mine was so full of gristle that half the steak was left on my plate - there’s only so much I can dissect. My husband finished one of the pieces off my plate - and he was astonished and asked, “Did yours have that fat all the way through it?” Um, yes. His response: “More flavourful than mine, but tough.” And he had to take the gristle out of his mouth quite subtly. Drinks were good. Service was good. Have been telling everyone who asks that it’s not a place I would recommend. A steakhouse should be able to cook and serve edible steak. End of.

What a lovely find. Popped in for lunch when our intended place was too busy, I'm glad now as this was far better! Really lovely staff, delicious food and cool decor. Great place.
