The best restaurants serving British food in Midlothian East Midlothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Had an amazing dinner here a few days ago. The Sun Inn is welcoming, cosy and dinner was cooked to perfection and promptly. The lovely young lady serving us was called Felicity and was very pleasant indeed, making sure we had everything we needed. Well done, we will be back.

Myself and work colleagues came here for a works night out. We booked the table weeks in advance for food amd drinks. When we turned up we got our table right away and we ordered drinks. The drinks were really nice and we enjoyed them. We ordered another round and we waited 30 minutes for the cocktails to arrive. When we went up to order food we got told they were not serving food. When we asked why as we had booked in to get our dinner. We got told that they had a table of 30 coming so they were too busy to take any more food orders. We ended up drinking the rest of our drinks and left. We thought it was disgraceful that we booked weeks in advance for food to be turned down on the day. I think thats awful customer service and I don't think I'll be back again.
