Lisa's is the least pretentious restaurant but serves really staggeringly good food. Whatever ever is ordered it's always perfect and served by cheerful people. Excellent food and extremely good value. Thank you Lisa

Reserved a table online for a small family reunion. Clearly a popular spot and there were a lot of people milling around outside and drinking outside the pubs on the main street. Service inside was good and there was a good choice of food which was very tasty. Sadly there was a large group of well watered men booked onto the table next to us, in the area by the bar, which completely spoilt the last half of our meal as we simply couldn't hear each other talking. It was a real shame that staff didn't consider putting us in the other part of the restaurant where there were several empty tables all evening, or relocating us for the last part of our meal when it would have been obvious we could no longer converse or hear. .... this would have made all the difference. (It would have been awkward having to ask to be moved ... but care from front of house staff could have carefully relocated us.)

When we arrived (pre-booked) the place was locked up and deserted and in the end I phoned the number for the Queen Catherine and we were told to go there to check in. We were then shown to our room in Moon House, at Three Tuns. . It smelt of dog. The whole place was grubby. The glasses were filthy. We couldn’t open the windows. The bedding was stained and threadbare, as were the towels. The mirror was dirty and smeared. The shower curtain and bin were mouldy and dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere and the floor in the bathroom was dirty. We couldn’t fill the kettle in the bathroom sink because it wouldn’t fit under the taps. Finally there was not a single hook or towel rail in the place, so we were unable to hang up our wet gear (it had rained during the day), or dry our towels. We had dinner at the Queen Catherine and although they advertise food service until 9pm, by 730 they were telling customers they had stopped food service.
