The only reason i gave a 4 & not a 3 or less was because i know they were short staffed & the girl who was serving us was working her backside off & deserves a LOT of recognition & a HUGE thankyou. The positives were that the food was good & the girl serving was fantastic. A solid 10/10. Eventhough she was rushed off her feet she did not grumble around us once & always was super friendly. You did a fantastic job that night (Sun 1st evening) thankyou!!! The negatives. Having kids running around collecting glasses didn't feel safe. I understand being short staffed but it doesn't make for a comfortable meal when you're eating & kids being kids are having fun collecting the glasses but doing as kids do & bickering over who is carrying what glass etc. It was difficult as a parent worrying they would hurt themselves when they're taking them off each other, running with them etc. The gammon was burnt but this was resolved very quickly. We were also missing a pudding which was again brought out very quickly. I also went to the bar for the tea that never came & didnt appreciate that the girl serving 2 big tables & others was rushed off her feet but i had to wait whilst 3 people stood around the bar & i actively heard them moaning. I work in hospitality & understand sickness & absence & being frustrated & it taking over but you have to take the moaning & grumbling into the back team areas & do it. Not do it in front of customers.
