The best restaurants serving British food in Salisbury St Paul's Wiltshire South West

As often found before, understaffed when visited late afternoon on a weekday, though friendly when at last served. Large sausage rolls good, better than expected even having been behind counter probably most of day? Drink in tea served in thick coffee-size cups, so goes cold too fast with small volume and large amount of ceramic, very irritating. No cash a problem, hesitant to return. Door not self closing; sitting at table at window beside it required us to get up and partially close it often to avoid cold draught. Tables need clearing and cleaning more often. Choice of food wide enough.

Cold food brought out to 2 out of 4 of us. They then just reheated the same steak! Burger come back out nearly as cold. Staff didn't seem bothered by the poor food no apology, staff rude and dismissive. Cold restaurant and bad atmosphere.

Not old and not much character. Mediocre range of beers

Glum staff, particularly one women... totally lacking any manners. The place could do with a total refurbishment. Is Salisbury not a happy place?
