The best restaurants serving British food in Ethandune Wiltshire South West

My 10 friends and I met for lunch at the Weavers. All the food was well cooked and presented. The staff were very friendly. The cheese board dessert was brilliant as the picture shows.

Four of us were recommended this place so we rocked up. There was a lovely lady Shayni ( fabulous nails) behind the bar and a really friendly young man in the kitchen, Josh. The starters, mains and desserts were all scrumptious! My husband even made comments on their coffee. He often finds it bitter ( in other restaurants) but rated theirs. Thank you to both of you for making our experience so enjoyable.

Very expensive for what you get. Poor music choice. Generally unhelpful service. We went to the Horse and Groom in Westbury the next day and couldn’t have a table. Duke, get real and wake up to reality, your livelihood relies on people…

I haven't been here for a long time, but I can easily say that It has changed for the best over the years. The steaks were perfect - really good quality meat, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The sides and sauces had great flavour too. The desserts then come in and are so clever - the sticky toffee pudding captured the essence of the dessert without the usual gloopy heavy stick sauce. I'm going back again...and then probably again...and again! Great service - drinks coming through quickly, knowledgeable staff and really accommodating. They have the price point just right in my opinion, making it good value for what you are getting. Well done!
