The best restaurants serving British food in Parkstone Poole South West

Food was nice but we had a garlic bread 'small plate' for £4.50 and got ONE SLICE of bread. I mean REALLY???

We decided to stay here again as last year was really nice, great service. no probs, however!!!! unfortunately our visit this year to celebrate my birthday on Saturday 5th October was absolutely diabolical. Firstly.. the shower was broken in our room, so we had to move rooms, this should never of been let out! secondly.. my boyfriend went to get drinks from the bar and was totally ignored!!! this happened to our family also so we all walked out!! Bar staff terrible, they all need more training!! thirdly.. in the morning of my birthday 6th we went down for breakfast greeted by a polite young man although he looked very unprofessional, and was told that we would have to eat breakfast in the bar area as the bar staff from the night before did not have time to stay and clear up the mess and set up breakfast!!!! there was beer mats on the floor, dirty glasses and sticky beer all over the table where we were sitting. As we had paid for the breakfast already we stayed and hoped it would be ok, however, we were extremely disappointed with the service and asked for a breakfast refund!! I did complain and the management were supposed to telephone us to resolve our complaint about our entire stay but we have heard absolutely nothing, the manager even emailed to say he would phone but he obviously cannot be bothered. We are disgusted with how we have been treated the one star is for the cleanliness of the room. Realise there is new staff and management and it takes time to settle in but there is no excuse for poor service!!!

Came here Thursday, lovely girl serving and was very busy. Ordered a calamari and chips, really let down. Waited 25 mins for my order to be called and the chips were bitter and dry (also asked for salt and vinegar and there was none), and the calamari was essentially all batter and rubber inside. Will not be coming here again.
