Really lovely carvery. Lots of choice and served very hot. The gravy was delicious too. Staff all lovely and nice, attentive service. We have already booked to go back later this week!

We came for the who ville special day and unfortunately it was such a bad experience, it was so unorganised, too many people allowed in , we spent an hour in the queue for the grotto to see santa in the cold, wet and wind.... my son received a 7 page sticker book. Then we queued another hour for the face paint, then went inside to find the the buffet had been eaten already , parents had piled their plates up high but the food was meant for the kids who paid and not the adults, the buffet table should of had someone there to keep watch that the children had food only , the place was just a mess with others people's waste food and dirty plates and spillages everywhere..... the guy singing and playing the guitar wasn't even doing any Christmas songs...... it was a great idea but I'm sorry they just failed to pull it off

Great venue for lunch, always busy, good food at reasonable prices. Until today, prices have risen, the place was half empty, the food still good but not exceptional so why the price hike? My breaded plaice with chips, peas and tartare sauce was £16.99! It was nice enough, not outstanding and available elsewhere in Sidmouth for a lot less. If they want more profit and less customers I think this approach will work, we will think twice before returning as there are many other places to eat locally that offer better value for similar food.

A shock to see bakery staff picking up and cuddling a dog in the shop. It is bad enough that dogs are allowed in food shops but holding a dog whilst in their aprons and near all the bakery items was unhygienic.

After a Sunday stroll through Sidmouth we decided to visit the Blue Ball for lunch, lovely country style pub, we were seated and our order was taken ... I had the Korean burger which was tasty but the burger is on the small side with a equally small bowl (ramekin) of chips, my wife had mushroom veggie pie which she enjoyed and my mate had the pork roast .. small niggle they both said the vegetables and potatoes had been kept warm for a bit to long ... His wife had the schnitzel which she liked. I can appreciate that there not going throw out veg but maybe replenish it a bit more often, I had the crumble for desert.bit disappointing the crumble was quite claggy..I'm guessing it's not made in the premises. I mean this review in constructive way.
