The best restaurants serving British food in Benhall and The Reddings Cheltenham South West

Staff ate always great and the food is great too.

Visited with friends a night ago. It was busy and staff were quite harassed so it took a while for the food to get to us, some of it being cold when it finally arrived. In fairness to the staff serving us, we got an apology with each late arriving selection of plates. The food was basic but tasty. My biggest concern though was that the member of our party who needed a Vegetarian, GF option was not able to find a single thing on the menu which matched her dietary needs. She ended up making up a meal from items on the salad bar, bolstered with a jacket potato. Staff didn’t seem to be aware of the options available, or able to advise her on menu choices. We also had to ask a few times to see a list of the GF options (these are not shown on the regular menu). The Harvester team have been made aware of this issue and have reached out with a compensatory voucher for which I am grateful, but I would advise anyone with similar distant needs to check in advance with the restaurant to ensure those needs can be met. We naively assumed more options would be available.
