The best restaurants serving British food in Swanmore and Newtown Winchester South East

Everything that a good pub restaurant should be. Charming friendly and efficient staff, good ambience, great food and very good beers. The restaurant is rustic and with plenty of room on and between the tables. Very busy which was good to see but did not affect the service received. We were a table of five and had starters of chicken wings and pork belly bites which were excellent. There followed stuffed chicken breasts, three way cooked pork and their ‘ultimate’ burger which were all very tasty, well cooked and the portions very generous (we could not manage a dessert!) I would highly recommend this pub and look forward to another visit.

Lovely traditional old pub with friendly staff. Really nice food and huge portion sizes too. Will definitely return here.
