Didn't let us in because we were with my 13 year old cousin, visiting from Texas, on New Year's Eve - because of a completely-arbitrary no under 18s rule. Absolutely appalling service. It was perfectly obvious he wasn't going to drink any alcohol. Your pub ruined my aunt, uncle and cousins' visit from Texas and ruined our pub crawl round our home town. Pubs in London did not restrict access in the same way. Shame on you.

Nice little tea room with very good service. Small selection of cakes etc and the coffee was great! The attached farm shop and butchers are also excellent! Make sure to visit those as well.

Lovely atmosphere, in cold weather you could enjoy drinks close to a huge fireplace under a beamed ceiling and your dog could enjoy species-appropriate treats. In summer you could enjoy peaceful al fresco dining. However, it is also children friendly, but on 1/2/25 a group of friends decided to place their 5 pre-teen kids in 2 tables close to us and found a table for themselves well away from the kids at the other side of the room…the kids were relatively well behaved, but still noisy and enjoying their freedom at the pub.

Having come off the overnight ferry from Dieppe at 5.30 am we stopped here for coffee at 6.00am. Quite the best coffee I've had anywhere in England. An amazing and very welcome discovery especially at this hour of the morning. Such lovely helpful girls serving us too. Highly recommended. The only downside might be there are no toilet facilities.
