The best restaurants serving British food in Barton New Forest South East

Our first time, and we were not disappointed! From the friendly welcome, the service and the food, everything was lovely. I think the chefs put a lot of thought into their menu, the flavours, and presentation is a delight. The best part is that it's not stupidly over priced! We will definitely be coming back.

Popped in for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Staff were all really welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious - mum said it was the best fish finger sandwich she’d ever had. My jacket potato was one of the best I’ve ever had too and I’m an obsessive about JPs! Service was really quick. Great range of light lunch options and bigger meals and pizzas. Gluten free options. On a sunny day, there is a lovely terrace overlooking the beach. Really recommend

Had a fantastic Sunday roast dinner in the pub with my family and the 3 meats selections were superb. Wide range of Vegetables and potatoes, etc Meal wasn’t expensive and it was worth every penny. It’s not La a carte restaurant but a well presented roast dinner and met all expectations.

Arrived on Sunday 27th October, 8.30 ish on a recommendation. Ordered two portions of chips. Sadly, he didn't do fresh chips. We got chips that had been in the storage area too long, so, they were soggy and dripping in grease!. Chips are not cheap anymore , will not return.

This is a great pub with lovely staff. The new owners (a year or so ago) have really turned this pub around. It is not an essential part of the local community. Good beer and great food!
