The best restaurants serving British food in West Kirby and Thurstaston Wirral North West

Warmly greeted by Iain. His singing and the ambience light and cheerful. I had the 18 hole breakfast which was delightful and the coffee was hot just how I like it. I would definitely recommend and eat here again.

Probably very nice however couldn't get served despite it being about half full. Sat down and waited 15 mins. Spoke to young lad who said he'd be with us now. He then took the bill to a couple he seemed to know. He chatted to them for a few mins, went and cleared a table then returned to his 'mates' and continued to chat to them. Meantime a table of 4 who came in 10 mins after us had their order taken by a waitress and the two gents next to us had been served and finished their meal. Got up and went over to the young lad and told him not to bother. He said OK, obviously not bothered. Went to the Tee Room on Banks Road and had a great meal with quick, friendly service.

I had such a beautiful time working from Leaf in WestKirby! It was cosey and I could be productive! The music, the energy from the staff and the service was on point. I was well looked after- had two coffees and soup of the day! Harry and Poppy really did lift the mood on this wet and windy day. You don’t get service like this in every coffee place. Grateful.

Sunday at The Cottage Loaf was a great experience, everything went smoothly. The food was piping hot to the last mouthful. I was spoken to by four members of staff, including the manager, and each was polite, helpful and welcoming. The place was well-used, by Covid standards, but we had no problem getting a table. Sunday lunch again, 22-9-2024. Six family members met here and once again the staff were outstanding from the welcome at the door to our leaving. Helen, Ashley and James were friendly, talkative and extremely helpful throughout. We all agreed that the food was entirely excellent and, speaking personally, the lamb shank was the best roast dinner I have had. Thank you.
