The best restaurants serving British food in Winstanley Wigan North West

The food service was well organised considering it was so busy. The staff had everything under control. I had made a mistake on one meal when placing the order online which was quickly rectified by staff. Everything arrived hot with plenty of veg to share. My only small grumble was that two tables had been placed very close together in the walkway, so when people were sitting in back to back chairs there was hardly room to squeeze past. We were on tables 3 and 4 and had plenty of room other than that.

Bought lunch for the family in Winstanley Shopping Precinct. The pies and cakes were lovely. But the pork pie was very dissapointing. It was thin, the pork was mushy and the pastry soft and soggy. Very dissapointing.

Would recommend. Had a lovely Christmas day dinner at the Poacher. All staff couldn't do enough for us and we where made to feel very welcome. Relaxed atmosphere didn't feel pressured or rushed and would definitely book again. Thanks again to all at the Poacher.
